The Money tree receives its name because, according to Feng Shui, it brings prosperity and wealth to those who keep it. While we can't guarantee this, we can confirm that the Pachira Aquatica is a beautiful and low-maintenance plant that will liven up homes and offices!

I'm a super-hardy tree often going by the names Guiana Chestnut or Saba Nut. I will bring positive energy, prosperity and good fortune.

Key Benefits of Money Tree:

Plants like the Money Tree help reduce levels of cortisol in our system, decreasing the chances of stress and anxiety disorders.

Its air purifying qualities also lead to better respiratory health.

A great plant to have in the bedroom. It will keep you relaxed and ready for a restful sleep!

Growing pot size: 12cm

Overall plant height including growing pot: 30-35 cm

Money Tree Care Tips:

The Money Tree is very low maintenance, only requiring watering once every week and a bright environment out of direct sunlight.

The plant's bright green, textured leaves can be damaged by exposure to direct sun, so it's better to err on the side of the shade. The leaves also have fragile stems so can sometimes break off due to their weight, but don't worry too much, as they will soon grow back.

If you want to keep the Money Tree's size, you can keep it in the same pot, it only needs to be reported if you want it to grow larger. Choose a well-draining, nutrient-rich potting soil mix and a pot with a good drainage system.

The Money Tree Story

The Money Tree is also known as the Provision Tree, Saba Nut, Guiana Chestnut or French Peanut.

Because of the good fortune and prosperity associated with the plant, it is quite a common wedding present in East Asia, representing wishes of happiness and success for the newlywed couple. Some folk tales even say that an old Taiwanese farmer struggling with his harvest found a pachira aquatica in his fields one day, grew more plants from its seeds, and sold them to make his fortune (hence the name of Money Tree).

Where is it from?

Originally from Central America, especially Mexico and South America.

Who is the Money Tree?

Although easygoing, the Money Tree will give you signs that it needs a bit of attention.

If you notice its leaves turning yellow, it’s because its soil and moisture conditions may not be on point. Make sure any excess water is being discarded.

Good For You!

  • Calm: Placing plants around your home helps create a stress-free indoor environment as they absorb sound and give out tranquillity.
  • Vitality: The colour green is associated with health and vitality and it has an enlivening effect on humans.

Plus, according to Feng Shui enthusiasts, the Money tree brings positive energy, prosperity and good fortune! Who wouldn't want that?

Is The Money Tree The Right Plant For Me?

For those wanting to board the houseplants train without a natural green thumb. The money tree is perfect for beginners! Just make sure you give it the right amount of water, light and humidity.

All aboard! Choo choo!

Pets: Pet friendly

How tall does it grow? It can easily grow to over 60 feet tall. Luckily, Its growth is regulated by the size of its growing pot, so you won't end up with a full-size tree in your hands.

Some Money trees may drop a leaf or two upon arriving at their new home. Don’t worry! The plant is just adjusting to its new environment and it will be back to its tip-top shape in no time!

Solid "Star Wars"-ing.
Format: Paperback
“Star Wars: The Battle of Jakku” is a three-part, 12-issue comic series, comprised of a trio of individual miniseries that form one collective trilogy-of-sorts, and details the war between New Republic/Imperial forces in the weeks and months following the events of “Return of the Jedi.” Writer Alex Segura – who previously penned the underrated "Free Fall" – does a good job of telling a single, satisfying story that ALSO tees up his upcoming relaunch of the mainline “Star Wars” series in May. What also makes “The Battle of Jakku” a pleasure to read – particularly if you’re a diehard “Star Wars” fan - are the various Easter eggs and cross-franchise connections it makes to other entries in the series, including “Battlefront II,” Greg Rucka’s "Shattered Empire," and even Chuck Wendig's “Aftermath” trilogy. Watching this specific era of the “Star Wars” timeline be filled out and expanded within the larger media has been one of the more satisfying and consistently enjoyable aspects of the “Star Wars” property these last 10 years, and Segura – as is his want – does yeoman’s work in effectively putting a final bow on it. All in all, pretty darn good “Star Wars”-ing.
