MatchPoint Insecticide represents a significant advancement in the control of annual bluegrass weevil (ABW) larvae, particularly valuable for golf course superintendents and sports turf managers. This innovative product features the active ingredient spinosad, enhanced with a novel lignin technology that reduces its ultraviolet degradation, thereby ensuring consistent and effective control. MatchPoint is uniquely effective against both standard and pyrethroid-resistant ABW larvae, offering immediate cessation of feeding and controlling larvae across one to five instars through both contact and ingestion. This results in quick knockdown and long-lasting residual control. Its Group 5 mode of action also makes MatchPoint an excellent option for rotation in pest management programs, and its formulation allows for flexible watering schedules, permitting delays of up to 24 hours post-application. This compatibility with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs and its innovative formulation make MatchPoint a cutting-edge solution for ABW larvae control.
