Irene Doyle is loved for one simple reason: it’s extended bloom. While many English lavenders bloom once, this one often gives a strong early summer show and then comes back with a second, lighter bloom in fall when conditions are right. That’s why people often call it “Two Seasons” lavender.

The flowers are a soft to medium purple, held neatly above gray-green, aromatic foliage. But what really sets Irene Doyle apart is the fragrance. It’s refined, lingering, and noticeable even when the flowers are drying. If scent is your top priority, this is a hard one to beat.

It grows into a balanced, healthy shrub that looks good in the garden and performs well in the field. We liked it enough that we planted it in our own lavender rows here in Southern Oregon in 2022—and it’s been proving itself ever since.

WHY GARDENERS LOVE IT

  • Often blooms twice in one season
  • Exceptionally fine fragrance
  • Great for drying and potpourri

Durable bone that you can add a spreadable treat to
Color: Blue
Our German Shepherd was 4 months old when we purchased this. She’s going to be 6 months soon. She has been teething really bad. We wanted some way to sooth her pain. This product was just what we needed. We put it in the freezer with some peanut butter in the center on both sides. Once frozen we give to our puppy. She loves it. When we open the freezer she recognizes the ziplock package that it was delivered in which we store it in our freezer. She jumps around until we give it to her. She loves it and it keeps her occupied for a while. It is very durable. I did not notice any smell when we received it. It does not make any noise. The plastic material is safe for animals. To clean I put in the dishwasher. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because sometimes the peanut butter gets stuck in it and may need to go through the dishwasher twice which is not a big deal. Or you can hand wash it. I found the dishwasher was best for us. You do not even have to put anything on it, but our pup likes it. I would recommend to others.

My dogs favorite toy
The tail lasted about 1 minute, but otherwise it has held up pretty good from my super chewer dog, and he treasures it like a prize. I'll need to get a replacement one as its not indestructible, but overall I'm happy with it.

Not as tough as the salmon.
We have the salmon from the same manufacturer and it has endured as few other dog toys have. Unfortunately, the squirrel lasted only two days before developing a ripped seam and began loosing stuffing. Maybe a defective toy based on other reviews.
