- Cyrtostachys renda, commonly called lipstick palm or sealing wax palm, is a tropical palm that is native to swampy rain forest areas of the Malaysian peninsula, Indonesia and Borneo. It is perhaps best known for its glossy scarlet red crown shafts and leaf stalks which bring stunning accent and contrast to landscapes or indoor areas.
- Common names are in reference to the red coloration. In the wild, this palm will grow to 12-15’ tall. Pinnate leaves to 4-5’ long are deep green above and gray-green underneath. Small greenish white flowers in panicles bloom in summer.

Small tube, but this is an amazing moisturizer. It is quite rich feeling yet feels light when applied. I’m confused that some other reviews mentioned a strong smell. I don’t smell anything really- maybe just an extremely light & clean scent.

I love all Avène skin barrier creams, recovery lotions and i just purchased this "Hydrance" cream. Texture is nice, it's unbelievably hydrating but the scent is overwhelming. It caused me a headache. So I decided to return it. Then I thought I'll give it another try and Oh my.... For the love of God, remove that awful scent. The reason I love Avène product is because theyre unscented, except this one I guess :/

Amazing lotion for the low price.

Great everyday lotion and an excellent value for the price. The texture is light and creamy, not greasy, and it absorbs quickly. I like the scent, though scent preference is personal. Shipping was fast.
The only downside is the pump—it was difficult to open and required turning it counterclockwise, then clockwise, which was more effort than it should have been. Once it popped up, it works perfectly.
