Our raw certified organic cacao beans are a Criollo variety, sustainably grown, truly raw and never heated outside of their natural fermentation process.
Truly one of nature's potent most superfoods, cacao contains one of the highest concentrations of minerals, antioxidants and magnesium of any food on the planet. Our certified organic cacao beans are grown and harvested from the fertile soils of Peru, where they are washed, fermented, and sun-dried at low temperatures to preserve all of their natural enzymes. They are perfectly crunchy with a slightly earthy and nutty flavor, making them delicious to eat straight from the bag, or added to your favorite sweet or savory dish. 'Food of the Gods' indeed!
As a quality focused company, we test samples from all of our cacao lots at an accredited laboratory using plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). This method accurately tests for the levels of naturally occurring heavy metals present in cacao that includes lead and cadmium.
Ingredients: Organic Cacao Beans (Theobroma cacao)Allergy Info: Packaged in a facility that also processes tree nuts.
