Description

chickpea succulent Desi Chickpea 20 PoundsDesi Chickpea produces a deep taproot that helps to break hardpans and condition soils for future plantings. It can be planted alone, but also works great when intercropped with Sorghum Sudangrass or Browntop Millet. We recommend planting Desi Chickpea as a cover crop after heavy nitrogen feeding crops like corn, brassicas, or onions. Because the roots penetrate so deep into the soil, They can tolerate a light frost in late spring or early fall.

Desi Chickpea produces a deep taproot that helps to break hardpans and condition soils for future plantings. It can be planted alone, but also works great when intercropped with Sorghum Sudangrass or Browntop Millet. We recommend planting Desi Chickpea as a cover crop after heavy nitrogen-feeding crops like corn, brassicas, or onions. Because the roots penetrate so deep into the soil, They can tolerate a light frost in late spring or early fall. Chickpeas usually flower 50 days after emerging from the soil. Plants are indeterminate, so they will continue to produce vegetation even after flowering.

Desi Chickpea can be grown in fall or early spring. We suggest planting in early/mid-fall with enough time for plants to establish before frost arrives. The seed can be broadcast and covered or planted with a precision planter like our Hoss Garden Seeder. If broadcast, we recommend raking or dragging the soil to ensure good seed-to-soil contact. This will improve germination and ensure you get solid coverage. As with all cover crops, it should be cut or mowed before going to seed to prevent any residual weed issues. Once cut, incorporate into the soil as green manure for best results. It can also be used as forage and works great as a component of a food plot mixture.

My Female GSD loves
Size: Medium (2.5"), Style: Fetch Pack 1, Size: Medium (2.5"), Style: Fetch Pack 1
Shasta is my smallest. Six in December (2025) along with her brother. She’s 100 lbs and outside, completely ball driven see last picture. Don’t let the size (2.5”) of these Chuck-It balls deter you. If your larger Breed dog has any orthopedic issues, has already torn their ACL etc, one has arthritis but wants to play. This size is perfect! Shazzy was born with several ortho issues. I don’t throw balls distance but right to her. This size and lighter weight assure even when Shazzy is spazzy w excitement, she’ll catch the ball mid air. The green balls are softer, and glow in the dark. In summer we can play well past dusk and I can see them! Her personality shows in the pictures. Playing ball is part of her. These balls are just perfect for her situation. Somehow they disappear, she loves making baskets, puts them in my tractor bucket, or my gardening bucket..then get put in burn pile, trash etc. I keep replacing them because she’d look day and night if we actually ran out!! 🙏✝️👍🏼👍🏼

INDESTRUCTIBLE!
Our lab chews through every “indestructible” toy within a few hours. This ball is amazing! He has not been able to destroy this toy! Highly recommend for your most aggressive chewer!

Our dog is very happy with this ball!
Our lab is an aggressive chewer and LOVES his toys. I was looking for a chew toy that had a different shape than a regular ball or Kong and saw this. Our dog LOVES this toy because he can chew it when he wants to be alone and it keeps him entertained (especially when stuffed with food). He also plays "catch" with us by rolling the ball toward us with his nose. So far there is no indication that he is damaging it so I'm very pleased with the durability.

Bouncy and firm
Lasted a day so far! I'm hopeful it'll last at least a week. Light enough to bounce compared to her Kong ball.

Thus is Great
They so far are indestructible in the jaws of my two large German Shepards. To be fair, this is NOT a ball to toss because it seems to be more in the cannonball family than in the soft dog toy world. Each of my pups love their Monster K9 balls but when they drop it on our hardwood floors, the whole household knows where they are.
