Good companions are Roses, Peonies, Salvia, Veronica, and Crocosmia. They are quite hardy once established and will multiply, providing years of enjoyment. Try some in a container for a starry show! Plant in compost-enriched, well-drained soil. Feed with organic fertilizer as the bulbs sprout, and again as the flowers open. Regular watering during growth is best. As flowers fade, remove them to avoid the formation of seedpods. Once all the flowers have bloomed, cut the stem just below the blooms, leaving as much foliage as possible.
