A Sedum spurium, commonly called Caucasian stonecrop or two row stonecrop, 'Dragon's Blood' has a sprawling, low-growing, mat-forming habit. It spreads over time, making a nice ground cover. Although stonecrop is a great specimen and container plant, it is shown to best effect when massed or grouped in mixed beds and borders and is especially well-suited to rock gardens. Festuca and ornamental grasses are good companion plants for sedum.

Cold hardy and easy to grow, stonecrop grows best in sunny locations with about any type of soil as long as it is well-draining. Sedum 'Dragon's Blood' is heat and drought tolerant and deer and rabbit resistant.
