  The hallmark of this plant is its palmate foliage - leaves that radiate from a central point like the ribs of an umbrella. In this variegated variety, the deep emerald green is broken up by irregular, "washed out" yellow and creamy gold patches. It is highly versatile; it can be pruned into a small bushy tabletop plant or trained into a tall, multi-stemmed indoor tree.
  
  While it is an evergreen flowering shrub in its native habitat, the Variegated Schefflera rarely blooms indoors.
