A vigorous, twining vine adorned with masses of pure white, tubular flowers that mature to a lovely golden yellow. These blooms release an incredibly sweet and heady fragrance, especially in the warm evenings, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere in your outdoor spaces. Hall's Honeysuckle is a robust grower, easily climbing to 15 feet, making it perfect for covering fences, arbors, pergolas, or even cascading beautifully over retaining walls.
Now, when it comes to sunshine, Hall's Honeysuckle thrives in full sun, which encourages the most prolific flowering and the strongest fragrance. While it can tolerate some partial shade, especially on hot Arizona afternoons, you'll get the best results in a sunny location. And for those of you concerned about deer, you will be happy to know that honeysuckles are generally not a preferred snack for them.
To help your Hall's Honeysuckle vine flourish and provide you with years of beauty and fragrance, I recommend planting it near a sturdy support structure. When planting, amend the soil with Watters Premium Mulch to help retain moisture and provide a healthy root zone. In early spring, and again after a significant bloom cycle, feed your vine with Watters 7-4-4 All-Purpose Plant Food to encourage vigorous growth and an abundance of those wonderfully fragrant flowers.
Plant a Hall's Honeysuckle, and get ready to enjoy its classic beauty and the sweet, nostalgic fragrance that will fill your garden. It's a timeless choice for adding vertical interest and a touch of romance to your landscape! Happy growing!
