The Red Prayer Plant is the quintessential and most popular variety, famous for its beautiful, velvety leaves and reliable "praying" habit. Its oval leaves are a soft, velvety green with striking red veins that branch out like a herringbone pattern, and a central yellow splash. The undersides are a uniform silvery green. It is slightly more forgiving than some of its relatives and offers a dependable, captivating display of movement and color, making it a perfect introduction to the world of prayer plants.

  • Classic Velvety Foliage with Red Veins: Features soft, oval leaves with bold, painterly red veins against a velvety green background.

  • Pronounced Nyctinastic Movement: Exhibits very noticeable and reliable upward leaf folding each night.

  • More Forgiving Than Other Prayer Plants: Tolerates average indoor humidity better than Calatheas, though it still prefers higher levels.

  • Compact & Trailing Habit: Grows low and spreads outward, making it excellent for hanging baskets or the front of a plant shelf.

  • Ideal for Beginners: The best choice for those new to caring for Marantaceae family plants.

Superman: The Golden Age: Volume 1 Review
Format: Paperback
If you’re a fan of, or are interested in the Golden Age of comics, this book is for you. This is really the mainstream beginning of superhero comics. Before everything became mired in continuity, there were one-shot stories that were fun, and often dark. I definitely also recommend this for people who want to get into Superman as a character. For the price, the amount of content you get just can’t be beat.

Amazing first issue
Format: Kindle
I’ve been a huge fan of Spencer Ackerman since his reporting days, his incredible book “Reign of Terror” and his DC comics work on Waller vs Wildstorm. Now I’m so excited to see him writing for Marvel. I can’t wait to see all the political intrigue and social commentary he’s going to weave into this story!

Childhood fans of Michelinie Iron Man and Mantlo Hulk are creating this
Format: Kindle
So. It's adult, real-world based, and suspenseful. As a child I could afford only to buy a few comics a month with the little.money I earned. Mantlo Hulk and Michelinie/Layton Iron Man were two of the five or six comics I bought. So glad I took a chance on checking this out. Looks like I will be reading a current series this year. A lot happens in just this one issue, both mental sparring and physical bang-ups. Nice blend of food for thought and eye candy. I'm excited for the rest of the series.

Takin’ Care Of Business!
Format: Kindle
While I thoroughly enjoyed the previous run of Iron Man, a comic I stay at least in the know as best as I can, I have a feeling that this is going to be even better.

Getting There
Format: Kindle
The let’s take Stark’s company plot is getting old, but at least this time they’re showing that Tony Stark ‘s major asset is his intellect. Still leaning too much into the Stark is an alcoholic canon, which even the writers of that arc admit was a mistake that they hadn’t thought out fully; a mistake that sucked the fun out of Invincible Iron Man for decades until Robert Downey Jr portrayed the character on the big screen, and writers on the comic started to write Stark to resemble the character as originally written. I do not like the art design on Tony Stark on this run at all. The feeble Howard Hughes look doesn’t fit Tony Stark at all, but if the story gets better, I can live with it. The art will change with the next team anyway. Ackerman seems to at least like Tony Stark and he seems to understand him; two things that were definitely not the case with Cantwell. Issue one didn’t put me off, and I’m invested enough to continue and see where it goes. At this stage with many Marvel titles that’s saying a lot.
