Le Ficus retusa, présenté ici en format bonsaï prêt à utiliser, est l'un des rares "arbres" compatibles avec un grand terrarium ouvert ou vivarium tropical. Sa silhouette structurée donne instantanément une présence végétale forte qu'aucune autre plante ne reproduit.

Particularités

Un vrai arbre miniature et non une plante tapissante. Apporte une dimension verticale et structurée différente de toutes les autres plantes du catalogue. Idéal pour un terrarium ouvert tropical (genre micro-jungle) ou un vivarium spacieux. Sa rusticité en fait l'un des bonsaï d'intérieur les plus indulgents.

Conditions de culture

Humidité 50 à 70%, lumière vive indirecte ou semi-directe. Substrat drainant maintenu modérément humide. Température 18 à 28 °C. Tolère bien les variations. Taille régulière des branches pour maintenir la forme bonsaï.

Mise en place dans le terrarium

Réservé aux grands volumes (>80 L). Pas adapté aux terrariums fermés à forte humidité qui favoriseraient la pourriture racinaire. À placer comme pièce centrale dans un terrarium ouvert tropical ou un vivarium pour reptiles diurnes. Associé à des plantes basses type Selaginella apoda pour créer un étagement.
