Philodendron pastazanum is a seriously impressive foliage plant prized for its huge, heart-shaped leaves and bold, creeping growth habit. The thick, glossy leaves sit low and wide, with softly quilted texture and pale, pronounced veining that becomes more dramatic as the plant matures. Unlike climbing philodendrons, this one spreads horizontally, making it a perfect statement plant for wide pots or low tables where it can really show off its scale and structure.

Plant Care 

Light: Bright indirect light, it will tolerate lower light, but you will lose the pink part of this princess.

Watering: Water when the top inch feels dry to the touch. Give it a good soak and let the water run out the bottom, don't let it sit in water to avoid root rot. 

Temperature: Ideal conditions are 18-29°C These plants prefer things on the warmer side, so not a good choice for a cold conservatory. 

Potting: A well-draining mix is ideal for these plants, our Airy Aroid mix is the perfect match. 

Hot tips: This plant is a crawler so if you provide it a long pot it will be sure to fill it for you! 

Pet Friendly: NOPE, but due to leaf size and shape our cat doesn't seem interested in taking a bite.

Includes everything you need and a bonus to get the cord wrap
I bought this to route the cords up to the monitor on a height-adjustable desk. The top of the desk is an inch thick, and this was easy to drill through. To make sure I got a clean cut and did not damage the top, I put painters' tape on the area where I wanted to cut and drilled a small starter hole to get it exactly in the right spot. It cut a really clean hole from the top, and the plastic insert fit perfectly. Once I got the hole cut and the wires run where I wanted them, I put the cord wrap on. The tool that comes with the cord wrap is really slick and super easy to use. I was able to bundle together three cords that hang off the side of the desk. Given that the desk is adjustable, it was a nice bonus to get the cord manager with the kit, as it keeps the cords from getting hung up in the desk when adjusting it. I'm very happy with the purchase, great price.
