Oscura ZZ Plant – A Sleek, Low-Light Powerhouse
The Oscura ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia ‘Oscura’) is a refined cultivar of the classic ZZ, prized for its deep emerald-green foliage, thicker stems, and more compact growth habit. - Propagation: Division of rhizomes or leaf cuttings
- Growth Habit: Upright and compact
- Pests: Generally pest-resistant but watch for aphids or mealybugs

Why We Love It
The Oscura ZZ is everything you love about the original—only moodier, sleeker, and more refined. With its lush dark foliage and architectural shape, this plant adds instant sophistication to any space—without demanding much in return.
Did You Know?
ZZ Plants are known for their ability to help remove airborne pollutants like benzene, xylene, and toluene. While not a substitute for a HEPA filter, they can contribute to fresher indoor air as part of a larger plant collection.
Cultivar Background
The original ZZ Plant was introduced to cultivation in the late 1990s, quickly gaining fame for its resilience and adaptability. The Oscura cultivar is a newer selection bred for its deeper, more saturated foliage and compact form—making it ideal for interior designers and plant lovers alike.
