The irregular colors of cream, green or pink on the upper surfaces become either a solid pink to burgundy or even maroon with pink variegation on the undersides. Each blade has an internal mechanism for orienting itself towards or away from the Sun, in the morning, it will face east to catch more of the early morning Sun yet by midday, the leaf will be upright to lessen its exposure to the intense afternoon Sun and then in the evening, its leaves raise upright to pray, resembling and related to the Prayer Plant. Native to Brazilian rain forests, this exotic plant requires high humidity and warm temperatures to thrive. Slowly grows to an average height of 18-30 in. Grow indoors as a-year-round houseplant in a warm, well lit, highly humid spot away from direct sunlight or outdoors as a seasonal annual in a sheltered shade bed or patio. In its native habitat, whitish pink flowers may be seen; however, flowers rarely form when grown as houseplants. Although 'Triostar isn't the easiest indoor plant to care for, they aren't the most difficult either. Keeping the plant in medium indirect light, watering them often enough and maintaining high humidity is practically all it takes to enjoy their beautiful foliage for many-years.
