DIY Peat-Free Aroid Soil Kit | Fast EU shipping | Cocopeat base | Ideal for Monstera, Philodendron & Anthurium
Summary: Mix your own lush, breathable substrate using our 100% plant-based, peat-free ingredients—designed for chunky-rooted tropicals and eco-conscious plant lovers across Europe.
🧪 Composition & Ingredients
- Cocopeat Soil Base – 45% base mix (moisture-retentive and airy)
- French Bark – 30% (adds chunkiness and aeration)
- Perlite Grains – 20% (boosts drainage and reduces compaction)
- Active Charcoal – 5% (filters impurities and reduces root rot)
💨 Drainage & Aeration
Excellent air flow and drainage thanks to the mix of perlite and bark. Cocopeat prevents compacting while supporting healthy root development.
💧 Moisture Retention
Balanced for tropical plants—cocopeat holds moisture gently, while perlite and bark ensure the mix never stays soggy.
🔄 Use Cases & Compatibility
Perfect for Monstera, Philodendron, Anthurium, Alocasia, and any aroid that thrives in a light, chunky substrate. Ideal for use in terracotta or nursery pots with drainage.
📦 Format & Quantity Options
Pre-measured to create approx. 3–5L of substrate. This covers up to 3 medium plants or 4–6 smaller cuttings or propagations.
♻️ Sustainability & Safety
100% peat-free and biodegradable. Cocopeat is made from coconut husks—a renewable alternative. All ingredients are safe for pets and children.
📅 Storage & Shelf Life
Store dry in a sealed container. Best used within 12 months. Cocopeat may need rehydration before use if fully dry.
🛠 How to Use
Mixing Instructions: Use the following ratios by volume (e.g., scoops or cups):
- 4 parts Cocopeat
- 3 parts French Bark
- 2 parts Perlite
- ½ part Active Charcoal
Combine all components in a large bowl or tub, mix thoroughly, and pot your plant. Use with containers that have drainage holes.
