The Golden Melon Sword Plant, Echinodorus osiris, is a vibrant and bold centerpiece for any freshwater aquarium. Known for its striking golden to light green leaves with warm orange-red undertones, this South American native is a favorite for both beginners and advanced aquascapers. With the right conditions, its long, broad leaves can add dramatic vertical structure and stunning contrast to your aquascape.

Choose from:

  • Bareroot: A loose plant weighted with roots ready to be placed into substrate.

  • Potted: Grown in a sturdy pot for easy placement and minimal disturbance to your substrate.

Features We Love:

  • Excellent Centerpiece: Ideal for midground or background placement in medium to large tanks.

  • Great for Shrimp and Fish: Broad leaves offer shelter and biofilm-grazing surfaces.

Care Guidelines:

  • Light: Moderate to high lighting brings out best coloration.

  • Temperature: 72° – 82°F (22° – 28°C)

  • pH Range: 6.5 – 7.5

  • Growth Rate: Moderate to fast with adequate lighting and nutrients

  • Ideal Placement: Midground to background

Pro Tips:

  • Prune regularly to encourage new growth and prevent overcrowding.

  • Avoid shading from taller plants to preserve leaf color vibrancy.

  • Perfect for natural-style aquascapes with driftwood and swords or stem plant companions.

Strong ball for Strong chewer!
Perfect Size. This foster pitbull likes to tear stuff up, this ball has not ended up in the garbage like so many others have.

Good Toy Reward for Training
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
A great non-food reward for dog training and play! It’s the perfect size for my German Shepherd and the tie makes it easy to carry and play tug. It’s also been very durable for her sharp teeth!

Didn’t last long
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
One of my puppies chewed the rope apart within an hour. They still have one of the balls and play with it often.

Good for playing tug of war, but better with a knotted handle
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
Strong and durable rope ball. I use it to play tug with my Doberman Pinscher -- at least until she decides that she's taking it, then she does!! The size is good, list of price is a good value for two, and my dog has a lot of fun with it. As you can see in the picture, there was not a knotted handle at the end. I was never a boy scout and don't know my knots and so anything I try to tie comes apart when we start playing. It would be nice if it came as it looked in the listing: with a knotted loop at the end.

Pricey for quality but my dogs love them!
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
This toy is a bit on the pricey side for what it is, and no matter how many times I try to tie it, I just cannot get it to stay secured. I really like the idea behind it, but the overall quality feels just okay rather than amazing. The ball itself is very lightweight and almost feels more like a dense foam than traditional rubber, which initially threw me off. That said, it has actually been holding up well with regular use, which is a pleasant surprise. Most importantly, my puppies absolutely love these. The biggest win for me is that it comes as a two pack, which means I can play with both dogs at the same time without anyone feeling left out. At the end of the day, my girls are happy, and that makes me happy too.
