- Unique orange to coppery-green foliage for standout colour

- Perfect for brightening desks, shelves, or modern interiors
- Average height: 30–50 cm | Growth: Upright rosette habit
🌞 Light & Placement
Thrives in bright, indirect light to maintain its vivid orange hues. Tolerates medium light but colour intensity will reduce. Avoid direct sun to prevent leaf burn.
💧 Water & Humidity
Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry before watering. Prefers moderate humidity (50–70%) but adapts well to typical indoor levels. Mist occasionally for optimal foliage health.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Plant in a well-draining aroid mix rich in perlite and orchid bark for aeration. Repot every 1–2 years in spring when roots outgrow the pot to encourage continued growth.
🐾 Toxicity & Safety
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested due to calcium oxalate crystals. Keep away from curious cats, dogs, and small children.
🌱 Growth & Propagation
Moderate grower. Propagation is typically done by division of offsets in mature plants, though stem cuttings can also be rooted in warm, humid conditions.
📆 Seasonal & Special Care
Rotate regularly to maintain balanced growth. Wipe leaves monthly to remove dust and keep them glowing. Fertilise monthly in spring and summer with a balanced, diluted fertiliser.
🐛 Common Issues
Yellowing leaves often indicate overwatering. Watch for spider mites or mealybugs; treat infestations promptly with neem oil and improve airflow.
🧬 Botanical Background
Philodendron ‘Prince of Orange’ is a hybrid cultivar within the Araceae family, prized for its brilliant orange new foliage that matures to coppery green. Its easy care and dramatic colour shifts make it a collector’s favourite in European homes.
