Cornflower, also known as bachelor's buttons, is an amazing mixture of white, pink, and white-to-pink flowers. This variety adds a romantic touch to your homegrown bouquets with its diverse shades, making it look like you've grown at least three different varieties. Blooming on long stems up to 90 cm tall, these plants are perfect for adding height and color to your garden.
Cornflowers are a true cut-and-come-again variety, meaning the more you pick, the more flowers the plants will produce. When grown as a border plant, deadheading will prolong the flowering season.
For best results, ensure the soil is not too rich, as excessive fertilizer can lead to more leaves than flowers. Early sowings will result in taller plants compared to those sown later in the season.
