Lavender is best grown over winter in pots and then transplanted into your garden after the last frost, but bewarned they do require a bit a patience as they can germinate in a couple of weeks or couple of months. You can sow them directly into your garden but results will not be as good as starting early in pots.
Direct Seed: If in zones 6-7 you can direct seed these into your garden in fall after your last frost. Work your enriched garden bed 6" deep and scatter seeds on the surface as they need light to germinate. Top with a light dusting of peat. In zones 8-9 you will have to cold treat your seeds before seeding. Take your packet of seeds and mix with 1 tablespoon of screened peat moss or sand inside a ziploc baggie. Add 1 teaspoon of water of water and mix until the peat is damp and place the sealed baggie in your refrigerator for 60 days. After 60 days take out of the refrigerator and let dry. Mix with two cups of screened peat before sprinkling the peat/seed mix in your garden area.
In Pots: Seeds require cold treatment to germinate prior to seeding indoors (seed cold treat instructions above). After cold treatment use a non soil potting mix made of 1 part sand and 1 part peat or a sterilized seed potting mixture. Sprinkle 5-8 seeds in each pot, or use a tray and sow them in rows 3" apart, and press into soil. Cover lightly with sand or vermiculite as they need light to germinate. Don't oversaturate and water from the bottom of your pot. We cover our trays or pots with plastic wrap until the seeds start to germinate (don't let the seedlings touch the plastic wrap). They are slow to germinate, and while germinating the need lighting but dislike strong direct natural sunlight. Keep you soil temperature around 70 degrees which in winter might require the use of a heating mat.
Once plants get their second set of leaves you can add a mild fertilizer to their water. In spring, after your last frost, transplant into your garden. Once in the garden for one year cut back in the very early spring to encourage bushy growth. If you seeds fail to germinate when starting in pots don't give up on them. In spring prepare your garden area and scatter your potting/seed mixture on the surface and give them until the following fall.

Tesla 😋😉 jeep phone mount.
Bought this to go in my jeep, perfectly attached to the corner of the screen of the screen, the only down side is since my screen raises and lowers over time with the vibration of the jeep it does make the screen slide down. But the magnet holds the phone very well as long as it is aligned properly to the back of the phone. I know it say tesla mount but my choice of smart stereo for my jeep is not a flush mount, it sticks out and has a cd player in the deck. As well the screen raises and lowers for access to to the cd player. So perfect for my jeep.

Amazing MagSafe phone stand
I recently purchased this MagSafe car phone mount, and it has been a game-changer for my daily commutes. The installation was effortless—just snap it onto the air vent, and you’re good to go.
What stands out the most is the strong MagSafe connection. My phone stays securely in place even on bumpy roads, and removing it is just as seamless. The minimalist design fits perfectly with my car’s interior, and it doesn’t block my view like other bulkier mounts.
Another highlight is the 360-degree rotation feature, which makes adjusting the angle for navigation or hands-free calls incredibly easy. It’s sturdy, reliable, and eliminates the need for clamps or adhesives.
Overall, this is a must-have for anyone who uses their phone for GPS or music while driving. Highly recommended for MagSafe-compatible phones!

Great Phone Mount
This is a great little phone mount! Simple and effective. I’ve been wanting something for when I am pulled over at a super charger to be on a call or watching something on my phone without holding it or putting it in the cup holder. Works super well with my MagSafe case although it does come with extra magnets as well in case you don’t have a MagSafe case. Highly recommend! Easily attaches to the screen, no sticky residue or risk of sun staining on the dash like other mounts.

Best one so far!
This is a great device! Not my first one but definitely better than I had before! It mounts on the side of the screen, which is very convenient as my other one was sticky, so I had to leave it with my other car. The handles rotate well to give you any position that suits you. There is some good suction, so it sticks well and doesn’t fall. It’s good quality and sturdy. The phone magnets very well to it and also doesn’t fall. I rotate it any way I want but mostly vertically and diagonally. I had it for a while now so can give you my honest opinion. Highly recommend!

Color: Black
This a great little phone mount. It works for my iPhone 17 pro max. I drive a lot of dirt roads where I live in the mountains, and the magnet holds up to plenty of bumps without dropping my phone. Easy to install.
Pros:
-very simple installation
-strong magnet
-arm rotates for adjustment
-ball and socket joint allows tilting with a good amount of resistance to hold its position (when fully tightened)
Cons:
- for model 3 users, anything other than next to the steering wheel can block a portion of your windshield viewing area
-could have more modularity if offered with more arm attachments
Conclusion:
RECOMMENDED. Very stable and functional mount with a minimalistic design that still allows for some adjustability.
If magnet weakens over time, or the sun damages the plastic to the point of breaking from brittleness then I will post updates. I will also update for any modifications I make for more adjustability.
