Echeveria Elegans

Echeveria Elegans, commonly known as Mexican Rose or sometimes Mexican Snowball is a striking plant that is easy to propagate from seed and roots effortlessly from cuttings. These perennial succulents have thick green to grey-greenish blue leaves that overlap in rosettes that often resemble artichokes. Leaves are at their brightest (grey-blue to blue-purple) from spring to autumn, and are followed by long-lasting flowers in pink, red or yellow. A stunning effect is created when planted together. Although they love full sun, they will tolerate shade or part-shade.

Instructions

Growing Instructions

Soak the soil pellets in water and mix the stone & perlite mix into the soil. Fill the pots, leave the soil 1/2-inch below the rim of the pot. Lightly dampen the soil, sprinkle the tiny seeds on the surface. Echeveria seeds are extremely small, almost like dust, so handling them carefully is crucial. To distribute the seeds more easily, mix them with a small amount of fine sand before sprinkling on the soil. Cover the seeds with a layer of fine-grained sand, or using a tea strainer, sift some very fine soil over the seed to just barely cover them. Mist the sand covering the seeds with water to moisten. Place the pots into a container with a snap on lid. Position the pots in a bright location, but not in direct sunlight. Keep the soil moist by misting daily. Uncover the seeds partially after two to three weeks. Leave the lid partially over the container for four weeks.

Anything from 14 days to 3 Months later the seedlings begin to show up.
Happy Planting !

Growing Echeveria Plants
Echeverias are drought tolerant, so they can stand being neglected while you are on holiday, etc. and will easily revive with a small amount of care and attention, after months of neglect. They are generally pest-free, and easy-care.
Light: Prefer half-day-sun (morning sun better) and bright light for the remainder of the day in the subtropics, with more sun the further south and cooler you get. All day winter sun is fine in all areas.
Water: Loves plenty of water in summer, but the soil must be well drained. They're highly adaptable, growing in all South African climate zones, but in areas of frequent frosts or very cold winter areas, stop the watering altogether when the temperatures begin to cool off. Resume watering them in spring. You should only water if the soil has dried out properly.
Always let the soil go dry between watering.
Cold tolerance: Some Echeverias will tolerate an air-temperature of -7°C, but heavy frost directly on the leaves may burn or disfigure them.

My Doggo LOVES!!
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 1)
When I opened the bag, and left the little extra paper thingy that comes off after the bag is ripped open on the floor, he immediately went for it and licked it and took it to his bed. I’d like to say that he REALLY likes these. Definitely will be purchasing again. The only thing I don’t love about these is the smell, it smells pretty awful, but they’re dog treats, so I’m not expecting it to smell like roses.

Enables the person to move around while wearing.
These silicon socks look a bit odd at first glance but they work great and best of all, any lotions and oily creams are contained on the inside so you can walk around. They are very soft. I haven't had them long so I can't comment on durability, but they are not made of lightweight material.

Does the job but dangerous to walk with!
Does the job but dangerous to walk with: foot is sliding inside the sock if the foot was treated with cream or lotion prior. It is uncomfortable to sleep with but a necessary hurdle to heal your heels!
