Orbea decaisneana, commonly known as Carrion Flower or Starfish Flower, is a succulent plant species native to parts of Africa, including South Africa and Mozambique. It is a member of the Apocynaceae family, which includes a diverse range of flowering plants.

Orbea decaisneana is a low-growing, clump-forming succulent that typically grows in clusters of stems. The stems are usually green and have angular or ribbed edges. The plant has small, warty-like tubercles or bumps on the stems, giving it a unique and textured appearance.

One of the most distinctive features of Orbea decaisneana is its flowers. The flowers are star-shaped and often quite large in comparison to the size of the plant. They can reach a diameter of around 2 inches (5 centimeters) and have a unique coloration pattern. The petals are typically dark brown or purplish-brown with light-colored markings or lines that create a star-like pattern, hence the common name "Starfish Flower." The flowers also have a distinctive smell that is often described as unpleasant or similar to rotting meat. This odor helps attract flies and other pollinating insects.
