Ficus plants need a well-draining soil that is able to retain the right amount of moisture to enable the Ficus to thrive. Our Premium Ficus Potting Mix has a unique blend of high quality coco peat, pumice, pine bark, hydroton and vermicast.  It is ideal for all varieties of Ficus plants, including Fiddle Leaf Fig, Ficus Audrey and Ficus Elastica (more popularly called “Rubber Plant”). Our potting mix is also complete with organic nutrients which can adequately feed your plants for 6-8 weeks.  We’ve also added beneficial microbes and neem cake powder to protect the roots from soil-borne pathogens.  Finally, our potting mix is light and airy, which is ideal for Ficus plants to allow the roots to spread faster.

Unblinking portrait of a childhood in the Jim Crow South
Format: Paperback
Komunyakaa, who won the Pulitzer Prize for his Neon Vernacular, here writes about his childhood in a Louisiana town. The poems are poignant but unsentimental: the child's world has a certain kind of innocence but is saturated with violence, from the Klan to his father's abuse of his mother to the pragmatic violence of slaughtering a hog. One of the more exciting elements of this book is Komunyakaa's skill in combining realistic description with startling and even puzzlingly abstract language.
