Monstera Thai Constellation is one of the most coveted rare plants in the world. Its large, split leaves are a deep, rich green splashed with irregular creamy-white and pale yellow variegation — scattered across each leaf like a constellation of stars against a night sky, which is exactly where the name comes from. Unlike other variegated Monsteras, Thai Constellation's variegation is stable and consistent, meaning every new leaf reliably shows that stunning marbled pattern.
Good for beginners? It requires more attention than standard Monsteras. Thai Constellation grows slowly, needs bright indirect light to support its variegated leaves, and requires careful watering. It is best suited to plant enthusiasts who understand Monstera care and want to invest in something truly special.
Safe for cats and dogs? Monstera is toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs.
Light needs: Bright indirect light is essential. Variegated leaves have less chlorophyll than solid green leaves and need more light to compensate. Avoid direct sun which can scorch the pale variegated portions. Insufficient light causes very slow growth and reduced variegation contrast.
Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Well-draining soil is important. Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced fertilizer. Provide a moss pole to encourage climbing and larger leaves. Note that early leaves may not yet have splits — fenestrations develop as the plant matures.
