DESCRIPTION: These are huge! What an awesome statement plant. This species holds a purple color year round if kept in high light. It will be more green in color with lower light levels. The bloom on this cultivar is quite the sight to see; the blooms are almost just as tall as the plant itself.
Our employees were discussing recently that they think this is the fastest growing species of Tillandsia in our greenhouse. One of these plants will produce 6 - 10+ offsets after blooming and we have seen the offsets grow to a foot in one year. This is very fast by Tillandsia standards.
