Apparent Trifluralin 480 is a pre-emergence herbicide designed to control annual grasses and certain broadleaf weeds in various horticultural and agricultural crops.
Key Features:
- Active Ingredient: Contains 480 g/L of Trifluralin, a dinitroaniline herbicide that inhibits root development in germinating weeds.
- Application Timing: Applied before weed emergence to prevent establishment and competition with crops.
- Soil Incorporation: Requires incorporation into the soil within four hours of application to ensure effectiveness and reduce volatilization losses.
- Crop Compatibility: Suitable for use in a variety of crops, including cereals, legumes, and certain vegetables.
- Packaging Options: Available in 20L, 110L, and 1000L containers to accommodate different operational needs.
Application Guidelines:
- Soil Preparation: Ensure the soil is well-prepared, free from clods, and has sufficient moisture for optimal herbicide activity.
- Application Rate: Refer to the product label for specific rates tailored to target weed species and crop type.
- Incorporation Methods: Utilize appropriate equipment, such as harrows or cultivators, to incorporate the herbicide evenly into the soil to a depth of 5–10 cm.
- Safety Measures: Always wear suitable protective equipment during handling and application. Follow all safety instructions as outlined on the product label.
Environmental Considerations:
- Soil Mobility: Trifluralin has low soil mobility, reducing the risk of leaching into groundwater.
- Volatility: Incorporation into the soil minimizes volatilization, enhancing herbicide efficacy and environmental safety.
- Aquatic Toxicity: Exercise caution to prevent contamination of waterways, as Trifluralin is toxic to aquatic life.
