non-vining philodendron Philodendron 'Red Congo' Variegated Non-TC (wk21-UQ)A rare variegated form of the self heading Red Congo, and one of the few times you will see this cultivar with chimeral color this saturated. A rare variegated form of the self-heading Red Congo, and one of the few times you will see this cultivar with chimeral color this saturated. New leaves emerge in vivid coral and salmon pink, sometimes pushing into bright orange, before hardening to deep glossy green as they mature. The variegation that remains on mature foliage settles into cream, pale yellow, and soft pink overlaid across the green, sometimes marbled, sometimes splitting into bold sectoral patches. Because this is a non-tissue-cultured specimen, the new growth comes through with an intensity of color that the TC versions simply do not produce.

The growth habit is what sets Red Congo apart from most Philodendrons in cultivation. It does not climb. The plant stays compact and upright with thick red petioles and a sturdy, self-supporting structure, which makes it read more like a sculptural specimen than a vining aroid.

Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain variegation expression and to bring out the strongest color on new growth. Keep the substrate evenly moist but well-draining, and hold temperatures stable in the warm range.

Denon Refurb AVR-X3800h.. IMPRESSIVE!
Style: AVR-X3800H, Style: AVR-X3800H
I did a lot of homework and made contact with the seller. Great communication. Turns out all of the Denon refurbished receivers are inspected or repaired by DENON, and re-certified only after passing tests upon functional as new. It arrived in a Denon box, very well insulated. Contained all NEW accessories like new & sealed. Appears flawless. The setup was easy since I have years of previous experience with surround systems. This replaced my Onkyo of 10 years. And WOW, the difference is phenomenal! Great onscreen setup + smart phone app makes it nice for making fine tuning adjustments. This model is packed with all the latest tech. The Durac Live is easily downloadable, but I am so impressed with the Audacy setup I didn’t buy the download. Great value refurbished. It comes with a one year warranty, so I purchased the 3 year assurion warranty since I saved so much money. Very happy.

PITA to Set-Up and Hard to Connect to WiFi
Style: AVR-X3800H
This one went right back after hours spent on set-up. Room correction software was buggy as well. I couldn't get it going and called it a day and bought the Onkyo TX-RZ50 which is equally hard to get consistent sound and and hard to cnnect to WiFi and Bluetooth. Onkyo support, however, is far superior.

Great receiver, Digital Room Correction is worth it
Style: AVR-X3800H
Being a refurb, the unit seems brand new. No issues at all, working great so far after months of use. Audyssey XT32 works really well in my main seating position. Any other listening position on the couch is not great, but not the receivers issue. Just noting that there’s only so much you can fix with digital room correction, my room is the opposite of ideal. Love the multiple sub control. Dynamic EQ is fantastic also. Audyssey transformed my music. My 5.2 speaker setup is Frankenstein’d together with different brands and it was interesting to see the drastically different frequency responses of each speaker. With it all tuned, it sounds great. I find myself just sitting down and jamming to music for hours.

Solid!
Style: AVR-X3800H
It's a rock-solid receiver with modern and future-proof features. Denon isn't the flashiest or most aesthetically pleasing design; however, the unit is reliable and sounds great. I used Dirac Live to fine tune the system, and it's been a worthwhile upgrade from my X-2700.

It was Dead On Arrival. It powered on for a few seconds, then powered off. I sent it back.
