Great quality
I’m just a hobbyist, but this is the best fast read temperature probe I’ve ever used. Performance is top notch. The build quality is excellent, especially the display screen. You will be able to read it in any light situation. The temperature reading stabilized very quickly, ambidextrous response is also very fast. Obviously to turn the unit on you will need to swing the probe out. It has good magnet strength, but, in cases where you have a true stainless steel grill or prep table, just lay it down, in out position, it will awaken within a second when picked up. Close the probe, it will stay off till next use. The box it is shipped in makes for great storage, just make sure to keep the outer sleeve of the box. The probe itself is very sharp (but, be careful) unlike some others, which makes it very easy to push in to the most delicate, to the very tough cuts of meat at any temperature. It uses 2AAA batteries which are are very versatile, unlike the 2032 lithium batteries that others use. I understand that alot of people use these products in cold temperatures in which alkaline batteries will not work well, but you can get AAA lithium batteries for cold weather conditions. Just make sure you remove the alkaline batteries when the probe will not be used for long periods of time due to corrosion. All in all, a great product, it’s built with quality materials and should last a very long time. Quality over quantity. Also, they offer a 10 year warranty once you register your probe. They actually reached out to me after I purchased it and left a phone number. I called them and actually spoke to a real representative of the company. You may pay more for this temp probe than 100’s of others that are less expensive, but, I feel that Typhur stands behind their products.

Fast, Accurate, and Fancy - The Ultimate Thermometer Experience!
I recently purchased this thermometer, and I am beyond impressed with its performance, design, and user experience. The key features that set it apart are its speed, accuracy, and the inclusion of a fancy OLED display.
The very first thing I noticed was how fast this thermometer delivers accurate readings. Within mere seconds, I had a precise temperature reading, eliminating the need for any guesswork. I've tested it on multiple occasions, and it consistently provided reliable results.
One aspect that truly stands out is the fancy OLED display. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it also enhances the user experience by providing clear and easy-to-read measurements. The display is bright and visible even in low light conditions, making it incredibly convenient for those late-night fever checks.
In summary, this thermometer is a fantastic investment for anyone in need of a fast, accurate, and visually appealing device. Its remarkable speed, precision, and the added touch of a fancy OLED display make it a must-have in any household.

Very handy and capable thermometer for measuring internal temps of cooking meat
Size: 6.5"
A very-fast (and I think accurate) thermometer for tracking internal temps of cooking meat to insure doneness and that your meat is cooked to a safe temp. The sharp point of the probe slides into dense meats with ease. I have found this a very helpful accessory for frying and slow-cooking meats. It's display is VERY easy to read, even outdoors in bright light, or indoors in dimmer light. Haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life, though in two months, and almost daily use, no sign yet of needing a recharge.

High quality, fast reading, easy to use
This is a very nice product. It works as advertised. It appears to be reasonably well made too. I'd give it 5 stars, but I have a few gripes that force me to subtract 1 star:
1) Price. While it appears to be pretty well made and is quite attractive in appearance, it doesn't quite have the feel and heft of a $109 gadget. It is at least twice the price of any other pro-level, instant-read thermometer available on Amazon. Hopefully it will provide years of accurate, durable, reliable use, befitting of its hefty price tag.
2) The screw on the battery compartment cover gave me fits. It took a little more elbow grease than I expected to get it to turn, making me more than a bit concerned that I might strip the screw.
3) The "Careful it's sharp" warning label affixed to the probe itself was practically *glued* on. I had to carefully use a razor blade to get it off, and even then, there was a lot of residual adhesive and bits of the label stuck to the probe--and under my thumbnail too! I had to take out my Goo Gone adhesive remover to clean the probe of the adhesive and leftover bits of label, and also to extract the crap out from under my thumbnail...these are NOT steps I wanted or needed to take to put this thing into service! Jeez!
Anyway, I'll update this review after I get a few months of use out of the Typhur InstaProbe.
