Watermelon Peperomia (Peperomia argyreia) is loved for its sculptural, tabletop-friendly form and its striking leaf pattern—curved silver striping over rich green leaves, with red stems for a polished finish. Despite the nickname “Watermelon Begonia,” it’s not closely related to watermelons or begonias—the name is all about the look.

What to expect: This is a compact plant that typically stays in the “desk and shelf” category—perfect when you want big visual impact without a large footprint.
Why trust H Potter: For nearly 30 years, we’ve built pieces meant to live in real conditions. As we expand into plants, we’re applying the same standard—practical care guidance, careful packing, and styling that feels finished.

Care Guide

Light Bright, indirect is best

Place in bright, indirect light for the best leaf color and a strong, compact shape. Medium indirect light can also work well in many homes.

Water Let it dry slightly between waterings

Water thoroughly, then allow the pot to drain. Let the top layer of soil dry slightly before watering again—avoid keeping it constantly wet.

Humidity Average is fine

It doesn’t require very high humidity, but extremely dry air can lead to browning leaf edges. If your air is very dry, grouping plants or adding a small humidifier can help.

Simple success rule: Indirect light + “water after a slight dry-down” keeps Watermelon Peperomia looking crisp.
48-Hour Arrival & Unboxing

Live plants can look a little travel-worn after shipping. A quick reset helps them acclimate and settle in fast.

When What to Do Why It Helps
Immediately Unbox promptly. Remove packing materials gently around leaves and stems. Prevents bruising and improves airflow.
First 2–6 hours Place in bright, indirect light; avoid direct sun day one. Reduces stress while it acclimates.
First 24 hours Check soil moisture. If it’s damp, wait before watering. Avoids overwatering after transit.
Within 48 hours Water only if the top soil feels slightly dry; let it drain fully. Supports recovery and steady growth.
What’s normal after shipping: Minor leaf curl or small marks. Most plants rebound quickly with stable light and a gentle watering rhythm.

Shipping & Live Plant Handling

Live plants are packed with care and ship on a schedule designed to protect plant health in transit. Here’s what our packing process looks like—from soil protection to final presentation—so your plant arrives clean, stable, and ready to enjoy.

Our Packing & Shipping Process
STEP 1

We use wood fiber to cover our soil to help prevent soil spillage.

STEP 2

The wood fiber is placed over the soil, right under the foliage.

STEP 3

We then use a plastic bag to cover the planter and wood fiber portion of the plant.

STEP 4

Next we secure it tightly with a zip-tie.

STEP 5

We place the houseplant in a paper bag and secure it with a rubber band.

STEP 6

The paper bag acts as the final cover.

Worth every penny!!
Color: Black
This kitchen sink caddy was exactly what I wanted. It's well made and small enough to fit on my new sink. It holds soap, dish rag or small sponge, drain stopper, and my two scrub brushes. Looks good, too

Strong sturdy reliable and versatile
Color: Black
This is a great little side piece to use for your kitchen sink or bathroom mine is in my kitchen sink it works great it sits on the side it's the perfect length holds my scrubber soap and other stuff I need instead of using a makeshift bowl. It's sturdy rust-resistant and I put it through the tests it gets wet every time I do which is every day in this house. You can use it for just about anything. There are no suction cups on it but there is a gray under it that catches all the loose water which is also very convenient. It looks modern and compliments most sinks and kitchens well

Good Quality but Limited Space for Multiple Bottles
Color: Black
This organizer is decent quality, but it ended up being smaller than I expected. For reference, I usually keep the following items at my sink: • Dawn squeeze dish soap • Mrs. Meyers hand soap • Dr. Brown’s bottle soap • A sponge • A bottle brush All of these items fit comfortably in my previous sink caddy that I bought on Amazon. Unfortunately that one eventually started peeling and rusting, which is why I replaced it. With this one, the narrow section on the left side limits how much you can actually store. It works well for the brush, but it reduces the usable space for bottles. Because of that, fitting multiple soap bottles plus a sponge is a little tight. I also think my previous organizer was slightly wider, which made a bigger difference than I realized. One feature I do like is the removable plastic tray on the bottom. It catches water well and keeps the counter from getting messy, which is a nice touch. Overall, it’s usable and I will keep it, but if you normally keep several bottles and tools at your sink like I do, I would recommend paying close attention to the measurements before ordering.
