This 40+ year old Banyan Specimen stands apart from the rest. To place an order, please contact us directly.

I’m Hal the Chinese Banyan Tree, native to Southeast Asia. I'm considered the beginner's bonsai for my relatively easy care and can tolerate a wide range of indoor conditions. I am also known as the Indian Laurel and Curtain Fig.

I have a main trunk that divides into many branches that support a dense canopy. With enough humidity, I’ll sport aerial roots that hang from my branches. I’m comfortable grown as a houseplant, but also like nice days spent outdoors. Keep me in temperatures between 55-80 ̊F and away from heaters in the winter.

I can tolerate many light conditions, from shady to bright natural light. Just monitor the weight of my pot and water when it feels about 1/2 lighter. It is usually every 7-10 days depending on sunlight, humidity, and heat. To water, submerge my pot up to the rim for 5-10 minutes and drain well.

Symbolism: After attaining enlightenment, Buddha was believed to have sat under a Banyan tree for seven days, absorbed in his new-found realization. Generally, the Banyan encourages stability and steadfastness in Feng Shui. The Banyan's Wood element feeds Fire in the productive cycle, symbolizing expansion and the chance for continuous growth and enhanced wealth or success. Its 'Zhen' Chi gives this tree the ability to amplify protective energy, especially in one's career and financial journey. Fun Fact: this tree is also believed to support liver and kidney functions.

Includes basic care instructions. We always recommend doing more research as each environment-- and tree!-- is unique.

Among the best!
The only automatic wine opener I found with five stars. Used it daily since purchased and agree (thus far) it has earned every one of them. I have several bottles with stubborn corks that challenge every manual opener I've had. This tool handles them with ease. Especially neat is the way it "spits out" the cork after extraction. Very attractively and well packaged. Add a little gift paper and you're set. (Daily use since purchased and not even close to needing to be charged).

Nice features
I have only had this item a few weeks. But I like it very much. It’s better than the one it replaced. I like that I only have to press and release the button to pull out the cork and then it releases the cork automatically. Only charged once so far and is still fully charged. Also a blue LED is lit when cork is being removed and a red LED is lit when it is releasing the cork.
