Introducing the Aloe 'Diablo', also known as Aloe divaricata 'Diablo, a stunning variety of the Aloe divaricata plant, that belongs to the Aloe genus. Native to Madagascar, the Aloe 'Diablo' is known by this name because of its fiery and intense appearance. The word "Diablo" means "devil" in Spanish, and it perfectly captures the striking and bold colors of this hybrid Aloe plant. 

This Aloe Diablo succulent typically grows in rosette shape, with thick, spiky leaves. These leaves have prominent sharp red teeth and take on a wide range of colors with blue-green being blushed with red and a gray-purple color when grown in full sunlight. The Aloe 'Diablo' can grow up to 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide. 

When it comes to flowering, Aloe 'Diablo' produces tall, upright spikes of tubular flowers during winter. The flower color can vary, but it often blooms in shades of orange, red, or yellow. These flowers attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, adding a lovely touch to your garden or indoor space. 

To care for your Aloe 'Diablo', remember it is a relatively low-maintenance plant. It thrives in well-draining soil, so make sure to use a succulent mix. Place it in a spot where it can receive bright, indirect sunlight, as prolonged direct sunlight can scorch its leaves. Water your Aloe Diablo thoroughly but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. It can grow outdoors in USDA zones 9-11.   

Propagation of Aloe 'Diablo' can be done through offsets or stem cuttings. Offsets are small baby plants that grow from the base of the main plant. You can carefully separate these offsets and plant them in their own pots or locations. Stem cuttings can also be taken from a mature plant, allowing you to propagate new ones.

I've been looking into various kits and components but this one seemed to fit my needs perfectly - all components included and the flexibility to cut strips (up to 6) to the lengths I needed. Its also very thin and needs no other mounting hardware, channels, diffusers, screws, etc. No instructions - but everything only fits together one way except which end of the LED strip to connect to (polarity). For my reel, it was towards the center of the reel and not the freed end - which meant I had to cut a piece off and connect the end that was just cut. Insert the cut end into the connect after peeling off a bit of the blue tape. You can also peel off a little bit of the white tape beneath that to expose the copper contacts - but the connector contacts can pierce that layer if you don't want to peel off the white layer also. (Don't peel it all off, just enough to to fit into the connector.) Insert the end, press down the hinged part until it clicks or is otherwise all the way clamped - don't need tools, just your fingers squeezing it is enough. Test the assembly by plugging it into the power supply. You can also connect the remote - a blue LED on the power supply tells you whether its on or off. Once I figured out which end to connect to, everything was quite straightforward. I installed my 6 strips in my small pantry - one for each shelf - and routed all the wires to one side, mostly hidden. I mounted the remote on the pantry door - it can sense through the door - which is not very thick - as well as just tapping it once the door is open. The remote can be touchless - just wave your hand near it - but it seems to also sense tapping from some objects. Holding down on the remote activates dimming - it will cycle through brightness and stop when you release. Other than that, its as simple as I had hoped and took me about an hour to install (I expect my next install will be 30 mins). I am planning to order more kits for other closets, kitchen, etc.

I do really like the look of these and they did wonders for a dark park of my closet that has built-ins. ORIGINAL: Lights stopped working after about 6 weeks (beyond the 30 day return policy). Seems like the control unit died. Haven’t found any feasible way to contact seller or manufacturer. Will update review if anything changes.
