Nothing says desert landscape that the prickly pear cactus. These two pieces, inspired by the cactus I saw in Arizona have nothing on these fully hydrated ones here in Northern California...however, inspired by the stark contrast of green and purple hues, these pieces have a piece of me.
Adorned with gold pen and white gauche, these two paintings stray from the authentic watercolor feel only in their final touches. Set in 11X14 mated frames, these cacti are sprayed with UV protectant and ready to place in a frame of your choosing. 9X12 in original size, but sized up in their matted frame, they'd look as good in a sturdy wall frame or just as well propped against the wall on your desk.
