Crassula 'Caput Minima’ is a stack-shaped plant and grows triangular emerald green leaves arranged in opposing ranks. The plant originates in Africa and belongs to the family of Crassulaceae. This summer-dormant plant can grow up to any height between 6-12 inches.
Growth Rate
Like the majority of plants in this family, Crassula 'Caput Minima' is a slow grower too. This makes it even more important to take care of their watering, lighting, and feeding needs.
Flowering
You will witness clusters of tiny white flowers blooming in the spring season. The leaves will turn reddish and purplish.
Watering and Feeding
Crassula 'Caput Minima' has low watering needs. Let them dry out between waterings, and water with caution during winters. Feed them with a balanced succulent fertilizer once a month to help them grow.
Soil
A sharply drained and gritty soil is a primary requirement for the succulent. Additionally, the soil should be porous with excellent drainage.
Hardiness
Crassula 'Caput Minima' grows best in the winter season. Talking about its frost tolerance, it is anywhere between -1.1° C (30° F) to 10° C (50° F). When it comes to its hardiness, it is in the 9 to 12 zone
Light
Crassula 'Caput Minima' thrives and brings out its most vibrant colors only when given full sunlight. Try to give it a balance of the morning sun and afternoon shade throughout the year.
Propagation
Propagate by pulling a leaf from the mother plant, leaving it to dry for a day, and then planting it in a growing compost. You will soon see roots growing and a rosette appearing at the base.
Crassula 'Caput Minima' is known to enhance air circulation, allow increased sunlight to enter, and produce a lot of easy-growing little plants.
