Apply BEFORE leaving the house!

I have fair (freckle donāt tan, burn easily then peel and back to white) and sensitive skin. So does my son. I live on the coast, in a southern state and vacation in the Caribbean often. After too many years of getting burned, I finally found Coola a couple years ago. It has revolutionized my time in the sun.
Hereās the thing tho. If you donāt apply it properly, itās not gonna work. If youāre looking for something to put on AT the pool or beach, go for something else (with zinc oxide preferably). If youāre willing to take 5 mins before you go to do it, youāll be very happy. Kids especially are hard enough to get covered before they see water anyway!
Hereās some tips:
Spray everyone OUTSIDE (even the unscented can overwhelm inside, and you really donāt need to be breathing in ANY sunscreen)
DO NOT USE ON FACE. It will burn your eyes when you sweat/swim. Choose a cream or face stick.
Spray until skin is wet. Youāre not looking for a light misting, youāre going for full coverage. The can can sound like itās spraying, but if you donāt see the product on the skin, youāre gonna get burned.
Give it 5 mins to dry before putting on shirts/cover ups.
Reapply between 2 & 3 hours of water exposure. (We usually dry off, respray, then have a snack or lunch) Give it 15 - 20 mins to soak in before you hit the water again.
Iāve found a 6oz can will usually take care of two adults and a child for the day (initial and resprays). Itās a tad expensive, so we use Coola on days we plan to be out for more than a couple hours, or every day in the Caribbean, since the sun is SO intense.
The 2oz is ātouch upā sized. It may take care of a childās initial spray, but Iāve found it more suited for adding additional spray to areas that feel a bit crispy, rather than using it on a single application.

Toxic ingredients

There are endocrine disruptors in here that are harmful to your health. I nearly got to the point of being disabled from endocrine issues. Has ingredients that ruin fertility, raise risk of cancer, and ruin your endocrine system. I hope these brands can take these ingredients out and begin to care about consumers health.

I love this product. The size is perfect, it smells amazing, and my skin has no reaction to it whatsoever (aside from what itās supposed to do). So just a little background, my mother is Caucasian- my father is African American. I can either get a sun burn or get super tan- all depends on what products I use while under the sun.
In the past, low quality products have given me a sunburn over a period of long sun exposure. Contrary to that, high quality products require me to apply less and will prevent me from sunburns. I do have to reapply, depending how much sun exposure I am getting.
I originally purchased this product for a week long trip to Mexico with my boyfriend. I only bought 2 bottles- and we spent A LOT of time on the beach/ getting sun. We both used the sunscreen and STILL HAD LEFTOVERS after our trip (half a bottle still full). In addition, neither of us got sunburns- he got a nice sun kissed glow and I got a tan!
It is TSA carry-on approved, very lightweight, and easy to use. I would recommend this product to anyone who asks! 10/10 will repurchase again :-)
