Buy the S9848 Vintage 1960's Dress sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Vintage Simplicity 1960s dress sewing pattern. The sleeveless and collarless sheath dress View 1 has high round neckline and back zipper. View 2 and 3 with gathered neckline have bias binding and bow trim. View 2 has long set-in sleeves gathered to sleeve bands. Sleeveless view 3 has optional feather trim. When view 2 or 3 is made of lace or sheer fabric, View 1 dress may be worn as an underdress.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following format:

Suggested fabrics: All views in brocade, challis, crepe, metallic knits, matelasse, silks, synthetics and blends. View 1 also in cottons and cotton blends, linen, metallic brocades, metallic crepe. Views 1 and 2 also in jersey, lightweight wool and blends, printed wools, wool crepe. Views 2,3 also in chiffon, cotton shears, lace, metallic netting, voile.

Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way design fabrics or shrinkage.

Sizing: K5 (8-10-12-14-16) Y5 (18-20-22-24-26) which is approx. UK sizes K5 (6-12), Y5 (14-24). based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. Views 1,2,3: Bias seam binding. Also for view 1: 22" (56cm) zipper. Also for views 2,3: 3 1/2 yds. (3.0m) of 5/8" (1.5cm) wide horsehair (when dress is made of lace). Also for view 3: 5 5/8yds. (5.3m) of ostrich feather trim (optional).

This was a slow moving book. Lots of character pov chapters, lots of superfluous descriptions and endless courtly appearances stalled this book to start. Once you get into the heart of the story, it takes off. Before you know it the book is done. My favorite character is Reyna. She is so strong. She is true to herself. She gets into a lot of trouble with her headstrong ways but it's entertaining. I have high hopes for Lorcan. He is honorable to a fault. Thane had turned out to be better than I thought but i still don't like him. Eislin is useless. Great plot twists at the end. I'm looking forward too book 2.

This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.
