Cutimed Sorbact Hydroactive 14 x 14 cm 10 pcs is a non-adhesive absorbent gel cover with the ability to bind bacteria. The cover consists of a highly absorbent hydropolymer matrix with Sorbact mesh and is covered with a semi-permeable film.
Sorbact Hydroactive coverage is intended for contaminated, colonized or infected exuding wounds such as chronic wounds (venous and arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers and pressure ulcers), post-operative decomposing wounds and traumatic wounds.
- Treats wound infections and helps prevent them - coverings with Sorbact technology reduce biological burden and promote effective wound healing, while the risk of allergies is low.
- Supports autolytic debridement - autolytic debridement (the covering holds back the dying tissue) facilitates the wound healing process.
- Safe removal of bacteria, fungi and endotoxins - covering with Sorbact technology irreversibly binds and removes bacteria without releasing active substances into the wound. The development of bacterial or fungal resistance is not expected.
- Effective against the most common resistant pathogens - in vitro tests show that coating with Sorbact technology is able to inhibit the growth of the 5 main pathogens according to the WHO.
- Maintains a moist wound healing environment - helps maintain a moist wound environment and promotes moist wound healing.
If the clinical condition allows, the covering can be left in place for up to 4 days.

Dosage and method of use
- Clean the wound as usual.
- Choose the appropriate coverage according to the size of the wound. For best results, ensure that the Cutimed Sorbact Hydroactive dressing overlaps the wound edges by at least 2 cm.
- Remove the protective film and apply the green (unprinted) side of the cover to the wound.
- If necessary, fix with a bandage. Cutimed Sorbact Hydroactive is compatible with gauze dressings, elastic gauze dressings, transparent covers and edge fixation tapes.
- The Cutimed Sorbact Hydroactive dressing should be changed as often as the condition of the wound requires. As with all absorbent coverings, it is necessary to monitor that it does not dry out and does not stick to the wound. The cover should be replaced when it becomes cloudy or opaque due to liquid absorption.
- For wounds with signs of clinical infection, more frequent visual inspection of the wound is recommended. In these cases, appropriate systemic treatment should be considered.
Composition
The cover consists of a highly absorbent hydropolymer matrix with Sorbact mesh (Sorbact acetate fabric coated with dialkylcarbamoyl chloride – DACC™) and is covered with a semipermeable polyurethane sheet.
