Yellow and White Silk Maxi Dress - Our Santorini Dress

Eight metres of hand dyed silk chiffon are sewn to create this beautiful sleeveless silk maxi dress. The graduating colour of white into yellow, is a hand tie dye effect called ombre. This type of hand tie dye on silk is created after we make and sew the finished dress. The top of the dress is white, lined with white base. The yellow ombre effect is called dyeing where the dress is dipped into yellow and the graduated colour merges into the white. When washed and dry we then tie dye lemon yellow and lime green over the top in a vertical pattern.

Santorini Dress Design & Features

The shape of our Santorini silk maxi dress has a shaped upper dress body lined with white microfibre and from the upper waist the shape is loose and flared. Three tiers of silk create the flowing skirt of the Santorini dress as this ensures the fullness from each tier, rather than fullness from the waist. The dress is sleeveless and has two silk shoulder straps that can be adjusted. The back of the neck is fixed, and the front ties not only move, allowing many heights to wear this dress, the neckline can also be adjusted for full or partial coverage over the neckline and cleavage. Two tassels decorate each shoulder strap in lime and yellow. You can also turn the dress back to front, one of the many signature features of a Lindsey Brown dress to wear the tassels at the back.
