The watch is powered by the Longines 12.68Z manual wind movement. Originally introduced in 1938 the Longines 12.68z was used right up to circa 1960. It is regarded as a reliable movement with excellent timekeeping for its age and was most notably used in the W.W.W. military watches during World War II.
