Stunning 1930s black mesh gown covered in soutache detailing reminiscent of stars and moons in the night sky. Elegantly styled with a sexy plunging back, art deco bodice lines and a romantic flutter sleeve. The skirt is incredibly full, floating and draping around the wearer with movement. The sheerness gives the gown wonderful versatility- the feeling of the gown will change depending on what you put underneath it, leaving you with endless styling opportunities. Closes at one side with snaps and comes with a matching belt.

Excellent restored condition. When found there were scattered areas of holes in the skirt, bodice and sleeve. We hemmed off the worst of the holes and used the excess material to repair all other damaged areas. The repairs went in beautifully and almost entirely invisibly- you would be hard pressed to find them. Now in near pristine condition, ready for its next life.

I am not a parent, but I have loved following Kayla Craig’s Instagram account, @liturgiesforparents. She is a gifted writer and manages to convey complex emotions into simple prayers. There are prayers for life events, everyday occurrences, and, my favorite part, breath prayers. I especially liked the Scriptural basis for the breath prayers. As a pastor, I would not hesitate to hand this book to a family in my congregation. In fact, I may impress many copies upon families. I also read these prayers through the lens as someone who doesn’t have my own children. Most of the prayers are written for parents and from that perspective, but many could be edited to be used as prayers for children who are not your own. My only critique is that some of the prayers felt a little too long. And I would have liked more prayers that kids could say too. I received an advance copy after pre-ordering the book and agreeing to share my thoughts.
