When grown in full sun the leaves often take on reddish to brown tones. Aloe juvenna suckers profusely so it can be used to create a dense ground cover. Because of its arching nature, it can be used in a hanging basket or used to trail downwards over rocks or walls. It flowers in mid to late summer and the inflorescence is an unbranched spike with orange-red flowers. Plant in well-draining soil in light shade to full sun.
