Plant Type: Vegetable

Grows Best In: Full Sun

Fruit Size: 6-8" Long

Days to Maturity: 80 Days

Growth Type: Spring

Seedling Spacing: Sow 36" apart in rows

Sweet potatoes need at least six hours of full sun a day. While they can still grow in partial shade, the crop will thrive better with direct sunlight. Plant with the roots side facing down, bury your sweet potato slips in loose, well-drained soil, keeping the sprouted leafy part above ground. Fill the planting hole with soil and gently firm it with your hand to remove any air pockets. During the first week of planting, water your mounds to thoroughly soak the dirt (but don’t water so much that the soil erodes). After the first week, water every other day, gradually tapering down the watering to once a week.

Purple sweet potatoes require little maintenance other than watering and pest control. Your potatoes won’t likely need fertilizer, but if you need to treat your soil, use a low-nitrogen fertilizer. Too much nitrogen in the soil will cause potato vines to grow rather than the tubers themselves.

In warmer climates, it’s easier to tell when purple sweet potatoes are ready to harvest because their vines will yellow and die back. If you live in a cooler climate, harvest time will be shortly before the first fall frost (as early as 80 days, and as many as 120 days). When your tubers are ready, use a pitchfork or digging fork to loosen up the soil and dig out your potatoes with ease.

Love these socks!
Size: 6-10, Color: White
Comfortable, no show, and most importantly The Do No Slip!!!! I keep coming back to add to my supply because they have become the only sock I wear. I’ve been using them for a couple years now and they hold to great to washing, bleaching and the dryer. Highly recommended.

The only socks I will buy
Size: 6-10, Color: Halo Gray/Assorted
These are hands down my favorite socks to wear with tennis shoes. Bought my original 6 pack in the store, liked them so much I went buy more and they were gone. These don't slip on your heel like most socks do. Come up high enough on the top of your foot to protect from tongue rubbing (I giggled when I wrote that) and they come in fun colors. Love they are ultra no show and provide padding but people can't see them with shoes on. Five stars!

Socks
Size: Medium, Color: Black
Amazing socks. Fits Amazing. I tried to buy the six pack and it wasn’t the same. Thinner material. The 3 pack is great. Would buy again if it comes up.

Amazing socks but false advertising. They changed them.
Size: Large, Color: Black (6-pairs)
Okay well I have 4 stars because these are the best socks ever, infact, I threw out all my other socks and switched to just these. No show and they never slip. THE PROBLEM NOW, all the pairs I ordered before had a white symbol, and every time I buy more they have the grey and they are not as low show as my others… I wanted to simplify life and have all the same kind, no matching of colors or slightly different shape, but 4 times now I’ve ordered white symbol and gotten thicker longer ones with gray symbols. I’m considering switching all of my socks to the gray…. But the white symbol ones are way better, they don’t show with hey dudes on and gray symbol ones do now. I’m at a loss. Can someone tell me where to buy 100 pairs of white symbol so I never need to buy another sock again in my life?
