- Grown, packaged and shipped exclusively by Wekiva Foliage. Ravenala madagascariensis, commonly called traveller's tree or traveller's palm, is a large tree-like plant which is native to moist forests in Madagascar where it will grow over time to 30-50' tall. It has now been planted in frost free areas around the world, including far southern Florida into the Keys, southern Texas, southern California and Hawaii.
- This plant features an unbranched trunk (to 12" diameter) which is topped by a fan-shaped single plane of enormous, long-stalked, banana-like, deep green leaves (20-30 per trunk). Each leaf blade is 5-10' long by 2-3' wide and appears at the end of a thick, grooved leaf stalk (petiole) which is as long or longer than the leaf blade.
- Leaf margins are sometimes split as is the case with some bananas. Up to one quart of rain water will accumulate in the expanded and cupped base of each leaf stalk, thus giving rise to the common names for this plant which suggests an emergency drinking water source for travellers in need.
- Showy 3-petaled white flowers in cymes rise from boat-shaped spathes in a manner reminiscent of this plant's bird-of-paradise (Strelitzia) relative. Flowers bloom in summer plus sporadically throughout the rest of the year.
- In early years, the trunk of this plant is subterranean (not visible), with the fan of leaves sitting on the ground. Eventually the trunk does appear and lengthen, with somewhat attractive leaf scar rings forming on the trunk surface as the lower leaves drop.

Great value for the cost
Amazing quality for the prints, I bought this trying to stay away from a modded (conversion from regular to sublimation) biased by the opinion of a friend who did the conversion, but the quality was poor, and after a few washes the color will start to fade, if not immediately, and also for tumblers the color wasn’t vibrant. With this one, the entire opposite, very friendly, fast to setup, worth every penny, you can print multiple designs, the ink level barely moves, until now, no problems or needing to shake it to keep it “alive” it’s just as simple as start print and go. Also the drivers included make sure the image is mirrored, the settings are sharp and ready to print. Very recommended (my wife loves it!!)

Epson SureColor F170 Dye-Sublimation Printer. Includes Full Set of Ink
I recently invested in the Epson SureColor F170 Dye-Sublimation Printer, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This printer is designed specifically for dye-sublimation printing, offering vibrant, high-quality prints with incredible color accuracy and sharp details.
The setup was straightforward, and the included full set of ink made it easy to start printing immediately without any extra purchases. The inks produce bright, durable prints that work wonderfully on a variety of sublimation-compatible materials like fabric, ceramics, and metal.
What I appreciate most is the compact design of the F170 — it fits comfortably on my workspace without taking up too much room. The printer operates quietly and efficiently, making it ideal for both small business and hobbyist use.
Print speeds are impressive for the quality delivered, and the Epson software integration helps streamline the printing process. Whether you’re creating custom apparel, personalized gifts, or promotional products, this printer provides consistent, professional-grade results.
Overall, the Epson SureColor F170 is a reliable, user-friendly dye-sublimation printer that’s perfect for anyone looking to get into sublimation printing or upgrade their current setup. Highly recommended!

I would not recommend if you can afford something more expensive
So far the sublimated color is not true: (example) the pretty pink comes out as orange on both polyester fabric and wooden coaster using the only three setting on the printer: paper, photo glossy, photo matt. There is no “presentation” setting for the excellent color I had on the Epson ET-2800 (which I would NOT recommend for durability nor Epson’s customer service!).
I purchased Epson, again, ONLY because I could not afford other sublimation printers and this one had the best reviews of what I could find. But Epson has its customers held hostage by way of the ink. IF YOU USE ANY BRAND SUBLIMATION INK OTHER THAN EPSON, THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. And Epson ink is EXPENSIVE (“average” is ~ $0.55/print based on 200 pages/bottle) when compared to the brand offered on Amazon as a substitute.
So I’d recommend buying the Assurion coverage if you plan to use sublimation ink other than Epson. That is the ONLY thing that saved me when the ET-2800 went Caput (twice!). (The last time it was trashed, so Assurion refunded the original purchase price—within the mfr warranty time which Epson refused to honor.)

Get’s the job done.
It works good. It didn't come with a cord or clear instructions on how to use it. I used my cord from my printer to get it started. I would have sent it back but you can't once you add ink.
