Features:
Pedal type: semi-automatic; Compatible with: SPD cleats (included); Thread pitch: 9/16" English thread; Axle: chromoly steel; Body: aluminum; Cage: aluminum; Bearings: sealed cartridges; Weight: 0.533 kg
How do I remove these bicycle pedals?
Position your bicycle so that it is stable and at the correct height, as if on a bicycle work stand. Use a pedal wrench (ref: 8938257) to remove your pedals. Note: for the left pedal, unscrew clockwise; for the right pedal, unscrew counterclockwise.
How do I install these bicycle pedals?
Each pair includes a left pedal (marked with an L or a marker) and a right pedal (marked with an R or no marker). If in doubt, check the packaging. Apply grease (Ref: 8874174) to the pedal threads to prevent seizing. Use a pedal wrench to tighten: Right Pedal (R): Tighten clockwise. Left Pedal (L): Tighten counterclockwise.
The advice of the pro
The tension of your pedal is adjustable for individual customization. A lower tension will allow you to unclip more easily, while a higher tension will allow you to pull harder on the pedal. Find the right balance for you to ride safely. Remember to anticipate your release before each stop.
SECURITY
When learning to use automatic bindings, remember to anticipate your release before each stop with your feet on the ground (traffic lights, stop signs, barriers, etc.). If you are not yet completely comfortable with using bindings, prefer to use the flat side in technical passages.
MAINTENANCE
The SPD-M324 pedals are built to last. Their mechanism is waterproof. The chromoly steel axle and bearings require little maintenance.
These semi-automatic flat pedals for adults are suitable for recreational mountain biking, sport cycling, or indoor cycling. The sealed mechanism and robust bearings ensure precise operation.
Ease of use
Instant change of use, without manipulation, by changing the face of the pedal
Stability
Flat face: stability of the foot for leisure use or urban travel.
The SHIMANO M324 semi-automatic flat pedals are designed for adult recreational mountain biking, sport mountain biking, or indoor cycling.
