Often used as a home wrap in the construction industry, Tyvek is an affordable, durable material that is ideal for ground cloths. It is waterproof, extremely abrasion and puncture resistant. It breaks in nicely over time, similar to laminates like Dyneema. Perfect for cowboy camping or setting up under a tarp, we're first offering this product in a 36" x 78", 1 person size.
Initially, the ground cloth will be stiff and flat like thick paper, but can be softened by breaking it in (repeated crumpling and/or washing without detergent on the delicate cycle). As the material wears in and softens, the softer and quieter it becomes (last photo shown). Our proprietary Ultra-Low Temp printing process does not deform the material and retains 100% of its waterproofness and toughness. It also allows us to bring you high resolution art pieces that will not chip or fade over time.
Feel free to use a rotary blade or X-acto knife to cut down the ground cloth to your desired size! 2 Person and Long x Wide variants to follow if there is interest.
