Spider Farmer SE5000 480W Full Spectrum LED Grow Light – 2026 Bridgelux Edition with Bluetooth & WiFi Smart App Control

Are inconsistent light distribution and skyrocketing energy bills holding back your grow? Whether you're running a personal 4×4 tent or scaling a commercial facility, the right grow light changes everything.

The 2026 Spider Farmer SE5000 delivers professional-grade performance with a significant engineering upgrade. Following Samsung's strategic exit from the LED chip market, Spider Farmer has transitioned the SE Series to an advanced Bridgelux High-Efficiency LED platform — maintaining every key performance metric while future-proofing your investment.

The upgraded Bridgelux diode array generates an impressive 1,420 µmol/s PPF at a remarkable 2.9 µmol/J efficiency, all on just 480W. The proven 6-bar design delivers even, uniform light distribution across your entire 4'×4' grow area, eliminating hot spots and giving every plant exactly the light it needs from seedling to harvest. Running a smaller 3'×3' tent? The SE3000 is the natural step down in the same series. Pushing into a 5'×5' or larger? The SE7000 scales up seamlessly within the same app ecosystem.

Full-spectrum output spanning 660-665nm red, 2800-3200K warm white, and 4800-5000K blue closely mimics natural sunlight, supporting every stage of plant development. An aluminium bar frame and fanless design provide excellent passive heat dissipation with completely silent 0dB operation, while a waterproof circuit board keeps performance worry-free in humid grow environments.

Built-in Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity pairs with the Spider Farmer app for complete remote management — set schedules, adjust dimming, monitor real-time PPFD (with optional sensor), and program gradual sunrise/sunset cycles to reduce plant stress. The upgraded digital dimmer box delivers enhanced precision control, and the foldable frame makes transportation and storage effortless.

Ready to scale? The SE5000 supports daisy-chaining of up to 50 units simultaneously, giving commercial growers synchronized control across an entire facility from a single app. For very large commercial installations requiring a single high-output fixture, explore the SE1000W.

FAQs

What changed in the 2026 SE5000 — and why was it updated? +

Following Samsung's strategic exit from the LED chip market, Spider Farmer re-engineered the SE Series around an advanced Bridgelux High-Efficiency LED platform. The upgraded version features an increased diode count while keeping light efficacy, PPF output, and light uniformity fully consistent with the previous Samsung-based version. All key performance specifications are maintained — you get the same proven growing results on a more future-proof platform.

What is the SE5000's light output and efficiency in the 2026 version? +

The 2026 SE5000 produces 1,420 µmol/s PPF at a 2.9 µmol/J efficiency rating on just 480W of power. This represents a meaningful improvement in photons delivered per watt, significantly cutting operating costs compared to traditional HPS or MH lighting without any sacrifice in canopy penetration or yield potential.

How does the Spider Farmer app control the SE5000? +

The SE5000 connects via Bluetooth and WiFi to the Spider Farmer app for complete remote management. Key features include:

  • PPFD Mode: Set a target PPFD value and the light automatically adjusts brightness to hold it (optional sensor required).
  • Scheduled Light: Program on/off times, target brightness, temperature-triggered dimming (Go Dark to 11%), or automatic shut-off (Turn Off Light).
  • Sunrise/Sunset Simulation: Gradually ramps brightness up at the start of your light cycle and dims down at the end to reduce plant stress and promote healthier growth.
What grow space is the SE5000 best suited for? +

The SE5000 is optimized for a 4'×4' (120×120 cm) maximum coverage area, with a 3'×3' core zone for peak light intensity during flowering. It is fully compatible with a standard 4'×4'×6.5' grow tent and pairs best with a 6-inch inline fan for proper ventilation and climate control.

What spectrum does the SE5000 deliver? +

The SE5000 outputs a full-spectrum blend covering 660-665nm deep red, 2800-3200K warm white, and 4800-5000K cool blue wavelengths. This balanced spectrum closely mimics natural sunlight and is designed to support all phases of plant development — from vigorous vegetative growth through to peak bloom — promoting healthier plants and heavier, more consistent harvests.

Can multiple SE5000 units be linked for commercial operations? +

Yes. The SE5000's daisy-chain function allows you to connect and synchronize up to 50 units simultaneously, controlling all lights from a single dimmer or through the app. This makes the SE5000 an ideal choice for commercial grow rooms, vertical farms, and multi-tent setups that require consistent, coordinated light management across a large area.

Is the SE5000 safe to use in humid grow environments? +

Yes. The SE5000 is built with a waterproof circuit board, making it reliable and safe in the naturally humid conditions of an indoor grow tent or room. The aluminium bar frame provides excellent passive heat dissipation, reducing thermal stress on the fixture and allowing for closer-to-canopy placement without risk of light burn.

What warranty does the SE5000 come with? +

The Spider Farmer SE5000 is backed by a 5-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects and component failures under normal operating conditions. Damage caused by user error or misuse is excluded. Spider Farmer's support team is available to assist with any warranty claims or technical questions.

My go-to sublimation paper for crafting
Size: 8.5"x11"
I've used several sublimation papers, and this one has worked really well for my crafting projects. The colors transfer bright and vibrant, and the images come out crisp with good detail when using the proper sublimation printer and ink. The paper feeds smoothly through my printer and feels like a good quality weight—not too thin and not overly thick. I've used it for tumblers, keychains, and other sublimation projects, and I've been happy with the results. I also appreciate getting 110 sheets in one pack because it lasts a while, especially when working on multiple projects at once. Overall, this is a reliable sublimation paper that gives consistent results and is great for crafters or small business owners.

Easy set up and nice appearance.
Good instructions for easy set up were provided. Wireless connectivity set up was easy. Ink tanks were easy to fill and set up. Print quality has been good. The printer has a good appearance in our home office. We have had this printer for about a month, so reliability and life are still unknowns. I felt like the price was fair for the features included.

Best Printer I’ve Ever Owned — Fast, Economical, and High Quality
I can confidently say this is the best printer I’ve ever owned. The print quality is excellent—very close to a laser printer, easily about 90% as sharp in my experience. What really sets this printer apart, though, is the cost of ownership. The ink refills are surprisingly inexpensive, especially when compared to the high cost of toner cartridges. That alone makes a huge difference for me. Performance has also been impressive. It’s just as fast, if not faster, than the laser HP printers I’ve used in the past, and it handles jobs smoothly. One feature I didn’t expect to appreciate as much as I do is the automatic print tray. It opens and closes on its own, which keeps the printer looking clean and eliminates the need to manually manage trays. Overall, this printer combines strong print quality, speed, and very low operating costs. If you print regularly, it’s an easy recommendation.

Stay Away from this Printer!
I almost never leave negative product reviews, but this one requires the effort to warn others. I would give this item zero stars if that were an option. I have dealt with Epson technical service personnel repeatedly since I originally received this defective printer on February 17 of this year. As a result of those discussions, I received my SECOND replacement printer yesterday. Like the first two printers, this one also does not perform properly. It jams every single time the document feeder is used for scanning. The first page jams every time. None of the online recommended fixes resolves the issue. The first replacement printer could not be connected to my wireless network, so I never even got it set up to test it. The Epson technical service personnel concluded it had a defective network card. The original printer could be set up; but after every print job it completed, it locked up and displayed error code 302626, which I was told by the service personnel indicated a hardware issue of some sort. To say this has been a disappointing experience would be an understatement. I intend never to purchase another Epson product. Epson insisted my only remedy was to continue to receive replacement printers, all of which were refurbished machines. I devoted a total of more than 8 hours to this terrible product. The bright spot in this sorry is that because of my long and strong patronage of Amazon, I was able to receive a refund from and return the machine to Amazon. I will now try an HP model, which hopefully will be a much better experience.

Write down the serial number of the printer (On the underside of the printer).
This product was packed very, very well. I usually take pictures with my iPhone so that I know how to put products back together if I need to send them back but I was impressed with the way this printer was protected, really thoroughly! Step through the instructions very carefully. I wouldn't say that is the easiest setup but at least the instructions cover everything you need to know. Some of the features that are very useful - the size (fits on my small file cabinet with room to spare), has ethernet AND wireless and the printed pages tray pops out of the printer automatically when printing starts. Interesting observations - When loading the ink, do NOT pay attention to the logo onto top of the ink tank cover. It shows the inks from left to right - red, yellow, blue but it's actually (Black) blue, red yellow and there is label on the inside showing the correct sequence and the ink bottles will not fit if you try to put them in the wrong tank. It does save some degree of frustration if you don’t get misled by the logo. Some bright spark left out an important instruction in the user guide that you will run into when you are installing software. Bear in mind that you have carried the printer to its final location, hooked it up to power and connected cables and installed the ink and waited 11 minutes for the ink to finally finish its whirring and buzzing. You are installing software (maybe the Epson smart panel) and you are told to enter the serial number of the printer as the password. It then informs you that the serial number is on the bottom of the printer or underneath the side panel or on the back panel. I could not find the serial number in either the side or the back. As far as I could tell, the serial number is only on the underside of the printer so get ready to unplug your cables and don’t tip the printer now that you have loaded the ink! I lifted the printer up (not light) so that I could see the serial number and have my wife write it down. Why there was no instruction to write down the serial number after removing the printer from the box for whichever step it's needed BEFORE going through the entire setup and loaded up with ink seems ridiculous to me. It's certainly pretty annoying to find out you need the serial number from the underside of the printer after completing all the physical installation steps. The various panels are made of thin plastic and seem flimsy but I do like the way they fit together. When you run a test print you will be told to place the test print in the scanner so that it can be verified and you might get some errors if you don't place it exactly where it's supposed to be. I am used to positioning the paper with the small edge on the glass right where the lid is raised and the long edge against the edge of the glass near the front. That will get you an error message. There is an arrow (hard to spot) in the corner to tell you where it needs to be exactly, near the hinge of the cover. The instructions will have you go off in another direction if you don't realize that the problem is how you positioned the original on the glass. On the positive side, the printer worked right away using the ethernet connection to one of the switches in my home network. I have this printer installed on top of my small filing cabinet in the closet which is next to my desk. I had already installed an AC socket inside the closet for the printer so there was no extra work required. The Ethernet cable fits under the closet doors when they are closed. I moved the old Epson WorkForce 645 printer upstairs where I have three more Macs. These days it only works well for black ink only which cuts down on cartridge costs. That printer has been a workhorse for sure. It's a 3-in-one also. I expect it will keep on ticking for a while yet which is why I bought a new Epson. This printer has taken the longest to install of any of my previous printers but I have a photo journal to complete so I wanted to get a decent color printer. Lastly, I recommend that you buy good quality paper to get the best results (I ordered Epson Premium Presentation Paper MATTE (8.5x11inches, Double-Sided, 50 sheets - S041568), Bright White because of my use case).
