Signature Modern Metal Guitar from Jackson
A modern metal legend, Slipknot lead guitarist Mick Thomson has teamed up with Jackson to design an affordable, high-quality metal-ready guitar. The Pro Series Signature Mick Thomson Soloist SL2 electric guitar is a modern metal player's dream. With a 25.5" scale, a resonant mahogany body, oil-finished maple neck, and lightning-fast ebony compound-radius fingerboard, you'll be free to explore and hone your own metal style. In addition, dual Mick Thomson Signature Seymour Duncan Blackouts AHB-3S humbucking pickups give you a massive array of tonal possibilities, letting you hone crushing, chunky riffs. Modern metal players here at Sweetwater love the sound and feel of the Pro Series Signature Mick Thomson Soloist SL2.
Compound-radius fingerboard provides the best of both worlds
The Pro Series Signature Mick Thomson Soloist SL2 features a compound-radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12" radius that keeps things nice and comfortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16" radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action high-speed runs with monumental string bends without fretting out — the best of both worlds.
Neck made for metal
From bow to stern, the Pro Series Signature Mick Thomson Soloist SL2 is set up for mammoth sustain. You get a through-body maple neck — a proven sustain-enhancing design that lets you explore your own metal style and attack. Top that off with custom Signature Seymour Duncan Blackouts, and you have a recipe for slippery-pitch expressiveness with rock-solid tuning stability and endless sustain.
Custom-designed pickups
A pair of Mick Thomson Signature Seymour Duncan Blackouts AHB-3S neck and bridge pickups gives you all the metal punch and bite you need. And with only a single volume knob and a 3-way switch, there's nothing in the way of unleashing great tone.
Jackson Pro Series Signature Mick Thomson Soloist SL2 Electric Guitar Features:
- Solidbody electric guitar loaded with Jackson quality
- Smoking-hot custom-designed humbuckers deliver killer metal tone
- Graphite-reinforced through-body maple neck provides incredible stability
- 12"–16" compound-radius fingerboard yields ultra-fast playability
