The 2024 Orbea Occam LT M10 is built for mountain riders who want a bike that handles tough trails with confidence and precision. LT in the name stands for Long Travel, as compared to the Occam ST (Short Travel) model.

The bike is built with a carbon OMR frame that keeps weight down while staying incredibly strong. Its asymmetric shape boosts stiffness where it counts, so the bike feels balanced and quick to respond.

 The 29-inch wheels help smooth out rocky sections and roll over obstacles easily. Plus, the Boost 12x148 rear hub spacing lets you run wider tires. This means greater grip and stability when you're pushing hard on technical terrain. Internal cable routing meanwhile keeps things clean and running smooth.

The suspension is packed with Fox's premium gear. The rear shock is a FLOAT X Factory with 150mm of travel that features a Kashima coating for friction reduction and durability. You can flip between two suspension modes on the fly to suit changing trail conditions. Up front, the Fox 36 Float Factory fork punches in 160mm of travel and plenty of adjustability.

The drivetrain is a 12-speed setup with a wide gear range, featuring a Race Face Turbine crankset and a 32-tooth chainring. Shimano XT shifters and a Shadow Plus derailleur work together to provide crisp, reliable gear changes. A wide-range 10-51 tooth cassette means no hill is out of reach. The durable M6100 chain stays solid no matter how rough the ride gets.

Orbea's own MC10 carbon handlebars give a wide and comfortable platform with a 20mm rise. The stem sits flat to keep steering balanced and responsive. Ergon grips give a great gip out of the box, even when the trail gets wet or muddy. An adjustable MC21 dropper seatpost lets you drop your saddle quickly for descending or raise it for climbing without skipping a beat. Last but not least, the Ergon Enduro saddle is designed to keep your sit bones and related certain areas happy on long days out.

You'll also find a set of Shimano XT M8120 hydraulic brakes. They feel strong and easy to modulate, so you can dial in just the right amount of braking force regardless of the conditions. When the trail goes steep or loose, you'll appreciate the confidence these brakes inspire.

Rolling on Oquo Mountain Control MC32TEAM wheels, the bike balances strength and lightness well. Maxxis Dissector tires in 2.40 inches grip hard with their 3C MaxxTerra rubber and offer good protection from cuts thanks to the EXO sidewall. They're tubeless-ready for lighter rolls and fewer punctures.

Update from after they changed the bags to the two layer bags. I was alerted by another customer that the bags on the page changed, and she scared me away from trying the new version so much I bought the Hefty bags. Well, I am back. I did not like those, they are stiff, but they slash through easy and I did not like the smell. I looked again into glad bags, and realized that they did not get thinner. They are now two layers. Each of the two is thinner, but together they make for a stronger bag. It works just like when the cashier at the grocery store double-bags your heavy milk cartons. I used up a smaller box of this new dual defense variety and went back on amazon to buy the bigger box. They work the same as the old ones. They are strong and do not rip under normal conditions. I like how stretchy they are. The outside layer is white, inside layer is black. The bags look gray from the outside as the black shows from under the white. It looks black from the inside, and you cannot see gray when it is in the garbage can in the kitchen. Original review: Those are my favorite bags. I use them in my regular size kitchen garbage can, because it is black and I do not like how white bags show when used inside of trash cans. And I do not like to use clear bags - who wants to see the garbage? So, black it is. I like that the bags are bigger than the can since I never have any problems closing the bags and can fit a pizza box or something extra that would not fit into the can and waits for its turn behind the can. Forceflex bags are truly tough, they can stretch around items instead of tearing, and the red ribbon inside is thick and attached securely, too, so it stays where it supposed to be, and I do not get any nasty surprises on my way to the outside bin, and my trash collectors never have to pick up fallen garbage from the road, too.

These Glad Quick-Tie trash bags have become my go-to garbage bags for the kitchen. I've been through several boxes now and they consistently perform exceptionally well.
