The Whale Fin Sansevieria (Dracaena masoniana), also known as the Whale Fin Snake Plant, is one of the most distinctive snake plants in cultivation. Coveted for its enormous paddle-shaped leaves and striking marbled patterning, this rare houseplant brings sculptural form and dramatic presence to any plant collection. This listing is for a propagated plant with a root system that is actively growing and ready for its next home.
Native to Central Africa, Whale Fin Sansevierias are prized for producing massive upright leaves that resemble a whale’s fin emerging from the ocean. Each leaf develops its own unique pattern of deep green and silvery-green mottling, making every plant slightly different. Their bold architecture has made them a favorite among rare plant collectors, interior designers, and homeowners looking for a statement plant that requires very little maintenance.
Common Questions for our Customers:
What is a Whale Fin Sansevieria?
Whale Fin Sansevieria, scientifically known as Dracaena masoniana, is a rare snake plant grown for its oversized paddle-shaped foliage and exceptional durability.
How big does a Whale Fin Sansevieria get?
Mature leaves can grow several feet tall and become significantly larger with age, creating a dramatic architectural display.
How much light does a Whale Fin Snake Plant need?
