Description
bonsai tree buddhist pine Podocarpus BonsaiI'm Podrik the Buddhist Pine Tree, and native to Southern Japan and China. In the wild, I can grow up to 40 feet tall, but in your home I'll stay small. I'm a self pollinating evergreen that grows little purple berries. I love bright conditions. Keep me in temperatures above 50 degrees F all year, and away from heaters and air conditioners. Dry heat in the winter will really bother me! It's best if my winter home is a little cooler around 60 65F. To

To water, submerge my pot up to the rim for 20 minutes. Do this about once every 7-10 days or when my pot starts to get light again.
Symbolism: The Buddhist Pine is highly regarded in Asia where you'll find them near temples and sacred places because of their strong spiritual significance. Thought to be harbingers of good fortune, this tree symbolizes growth and transformation. Its Chi is associated with Thunder, thought to represent momentum, energy, and adaptability.
