More about this keycap set

How the Gradient Works

The dark gray gradient moves laterally rather than vertically. Alphas on the left side of a standard 60% board sit at roughly #2d2d2d, transitioning through #4a4a4a toward #6e6e6e on the right. Modifiers (Shift, Enter, Ctrl, etc.) hold at the middle slate value, creating visual anchors that prevent the gradient from feeling chaotic. This isn't a "rainbow" effect or a per-key gradient—it's a deliberate, slow shift that rewards under-desk lighting or natural daylight without demanding attention. The colorway pairs cleanly with silver, black, or dark gray keyboard cases; white cases create stark contrast that some find too clinical, others precisely right.

Profile Choice: OEM vs. Cherry

Two variants ship under the same SKU. OEM profile follows the sculpted standard found on most pre-built mechanical keyboards—taller cylindrical tops with aggressive row-to-row variation. Cherry profile sits lower, with subtler sculpting and shorter overall height. Both use the same PBT double-shot construction, but the typing experience diverges: OEM feels familiar if you're migrating from a stock board, while Cherry reduces finger travel distance and tends to suit extended typing sessions. The gradient renders identically on both; your choice is purely ergonomic.

Material and Construction

Double-shot molding means legends are formed from a second injection of PBT plastic, not printed or dyed. The result is a keycap where the character and the cap are fused—no surface layer to wear through. PBT's natural texture is slightly grainy, resistant to the shine that develops on ABS caps after months of use. These are not shine-through; the double-shot process here uses opaque PBT throughout, so RGB lighting will illuminate around the caps rather than through them.

Who This Gradient Is For

The dark gray gradient occupies a narrow niche: users who want visual interest without thematic commitment. No IP to explain, no seasonal relevance, no color-matching challenge with desk mats. The tonal range is narrow enough to read as "professional" in office environments, distinct enough to differentiate from the stock black or white caps that ship with most entry-level boards. At 61 keys covered, it works for minimal 60% builds; at 108, it fills full-size boards without blank spots.

Common Questions

Does the gradient direction match on both OEM and Cherry variants?

Yes. The color transition runs left-to-right on both profile options. Row profiles differ, but the dye placement and legend positioning remain consistent between variants.

Will these fit my Keychron K2/K8/Logitech G Pro/etc.?

If your keyboard uses Cherry MX-style cross stems (plus-shaped, 1.4mm x 1.4mm), yes. Keychron's standard lineup, most Akko boards, Drop's CTRL/ALT, and custom builds with Gateron/Kailh switches are compatible. Logitech's Romer-G and some Razer optical switches use proprietary stems and will not fit.

How does this compare to dye-sub PBT at the same price?

Double-shot and dye-sub both offer durable legends, but through different mechanisms. Dye-sub can achieve more complex colors and gradients (since it's not limited to two plastic colors), but the legend sits at surface level. Double-shot's legend is physically embedded, impossible to wear off, but restricted to color combinations where the two plastics contrast sufficiently for readability. This set uses that constraint as a feature: gray-on-gray legends are subtle, requiring the double-shot's crisp edge definition to remain legible.

What keyboard case color works best with dark gray gradient?

Black cases absorb the darkest alpha tones, making the gradient appear to emerge from the chassis itself. Silver or gray anodized aluminum creates a tonal conversation—cool metal against cool plastic. White cases maximize contrast, which some find too stark; navy or forest green cases introduce color tension that the gradient doesn't resolve. Personal preference dominates, but black or silver cases require the least visual negotiation.

Amazing robot helper
Color: White
I’ve been using this robot vacuum for about a month now, and I have no regrets about buying it! It’s noticeably quieter than my previous robot vacuum, and the mopping performance is excellent. I really like that it has two large water tanks—one for clean water and one for dirty—which makes a big difference as it easily covers my entire house on a single run. I don’t have carpet, so I can’t speak to how it performs there, but for vacuuming and mopping tile and hard floors, it absolutely deserves high praise. The battery is another big plus—it can clean my whole house before needing to return to the base to recharge. The app is fantastic. The mapping is very accurate, and there are plenty of cleaning options to customize different areas of the house. The initial app setup did require some help, but customer support was quick and very helpful. Overall, I’m a very satisfied customer and would definitely recommend it!

Great upgrade from my old robot
Size: Freo S, Size: Freo S
I had a different robot vacuum for a little over four years, and it finally started giving out, so I decided to try this one. It’s definitely an upgrade. The first thing I noticed is that it runs much quieter than my old one, which I really appreciate. The self-emptying feature is super convenient as I don’t have to dump the container every single day like I used to. It mapped my home surprisingly fast. It moved through each room for a minute or two and somehow had the whole layout figured out almost immediately. I did adjust the room boundaries a bit, but nothing complicated. Cleaning performance has been solid. I usually run it on the highest suction because I have a cat and a couple of carpeted rooms, and it handles the hair pretty well. For hardwood, there are lower modes too. It also has a mopping feature, but I don’t use it—I prefer my regular steam mop for that. Setup was easy, and connecting it to the app took just a moment. And it charges quickly too.

Great value, Easy Set-up
Size: Freo S, Size: Freo S
I just got this vacuum and honestly, I’m pretty happy with it for the price. Here’s how it’s been going so far. Price: This thing is a steal. Works just as well as some of the more expensive ones I’ve had. Set up: It took maybe 5 minutes to get it going, and I didn’t even need to look at the manual. Super easy to set up and start mapping. Carpet: Does a great job picking up dog hair and dust on my low-pile carpet. Doesn’t miss a spot. Thresholds: It goes over low doorways and small lips—no getting stuck. Navigation: It uses structured light for obstacle avoidance, which is typically found in much higher-end models, and it really exceeded my expectations. The cleaning path is smooth, and it avoids furniture without bumping into anything. It just works. Base station: Very hands-off. It docks and charges itself. Plus, I love how sleek and simple it looks.

Good value for price
Size: Freo S
Update - returned due to lackluster battery power. It would vacuum on “regular”, and come back to recharge after less than a hour. It’s too bad, because otherwise it was great. This is a pretty good system for the price, especially if you have primarily hardwoods/tile. It’s not great on carpet, and I really need a vacuum with more suction power. It will not remove enough pet hair from my low pile and washable rugs to make the investment worth it. Battery does not last as long as other models I’ve tried. It returns to recharge many times for my 3000 sq ft. I have a multi level house, with multiple thresh holds (home has many additions). I need a vacuum that can save 6 maps. This only saves 3 - which to be fair is typical in this price range. I don’t even know if there is a vacuum that can save 6? WiFi was easy to connect. Not too noisy when running. Seems well-made. Just needs more suction for my needs. Overall this is a decent system for this price point. I need something more powerful so I’ll probably be upgrading.

Not slim
Size: Freo S
Update AGAIN! I have had it 7 months now and it started making a noise like it was stuck on something but theres nothing at all there. Contacted customer service and they said its the brush and lid, so they send a new one. Great. I get it and install it and it makes the noise still contacted customer service again and they said we can send a new brush and lid, i said i just received a new one and its still making that noise. Now they said we will get back to you soon but its been 5 days and nothing. I have contacted them again and still nothing Update. I’ve had this for several months now and theres a few problems beside it being not thin enough to go under furniture. I dont like to set up ‘task’ because its not always convenient at the same time each day so i usually just open app and push start. The problem is that it doesnt do all the rooms even if i have chosen all the rooms it also doesnt self empty unless i go into the app and self empty it. It does sometimes but not always. Now customer service says that i have to set up task, but why?! We should be in control of the robot not the robot of us. Also, you can not send it to a specific spot it missed. If i move my robot over a spot to revacume, it loses its mind and wants to start remapping. I still like that it vacumes well(besides missing here and there) but i do regret getting it. Also it sucks on edges, so i sweep the edges to it vacumes more. Will not keep them in mind for the futre. Received today. Way easier set up to wifi than the coredy. Way quieter too. Its not slim and wont go under my sofas , that was disappointing. It needs at least a 4inch clearance 5 to be safe. Dont recall seeing that in description but i could be wrong . It also doesnt have a way to manually navigate it , either a control or a way from the app. I will try it out since i like the quietness and the sucking power.
